Prot
Hey folks, Long over due shots from the army so far. I didn't take a lot of WIP shots. I've been trying to get this together for a tournament and just thought it would be a good idea to share some pictures with you... There's a couple more specific shots at the blog too. Here Thank you for looking. Raztalin, N1SB, BrotherEndcat and 15 others 18 Back to top
Magos Takatus
Nice going Prot! Could we see a close-up of Abaddon, please? That starfield pattern on his cloak looks great, it's a shame that it's a bit hard to see. I like that you have painted the duplicate models differently, it gives them a little bit more personality. PeteySödes
These are so weirdly colorful I love it so much! Almost sort of a comic art style. Seriously well done Brother! Prot 1 Back to top
Prot
I'll try to take some better pics shorty. Thanks for having a look at them. As for the colour it's been a while in the making. I got a bit 'funky' with my Deathwatch and turned it up a bit more with Black Legion. I just really wanted to see the figures pop a bit more. Magos Takatus
I just noticed that tracer rounds have been painted in the ammo feed. The longer you observe it the more you notice the attention to detail. I also love the aged leather. That is a great paintjob. Prot
Thanks so much guys. I admit much of it has been painted more than once...at one time his cloak was a similar beaten leather look as his loin cloth, and then I decided on doing the Cicatrix Maledictum on the cape.... which took a lot longer, but I think it paid off. Imren
I just noticed that tracer rounds have been painted in the ammo feed. The longer you observe it the more you notice the attention to detail. I also love the aged leather. That is a great paintjob. Aren't tracer rounds marked white? Red ones are blanks where I come from. Eitherway, the Abbaddon is painted very nice! Like it! :) Edited June 1, 2019 by Imren Prot 1 Back to top
Magos Takatus
To be honest I would have no idea how they would be colour coded in reality. All I know is that it's extra effort that is appreciated. Prot 1 Back to top
Prot
Thanks very much guys. Here's some more completed shots from a 6 round ITC event I attended with the army. That 6th game is just grueling. The Army on display. And a super fun squad to play/paint: A post of a little image dump from day one of an ITC tournament: LINK And for anyone interested in my 'fun list' attempt at an ITC tournament, I've just finished the Day 1 report: HERE Thanks for checking out the progress! Definitely need to tweak the list if I want it to be competitive. I'm not surprised though, and have no regrets as it was a fun army to play.
