Monkey Business - Random Works and Past Projects

Greetangs! I thought I would start up a plog to show off a bunch of my previous projects and to be a home for anything random that is likely to pop up on my cutting mat in the future. Prepare for a huge image dump and enjoy:

SPACE WOLVES - c. 2005-7

The idea behind this army was kind of a Wolfwing or Gimmnar Company. Mostly Terminators with a bunch of Scouts helping out. Idea was the Scouts would be deployed first, fart around a bit and drop homing beacons. Next turn ALL of the Terminators would teleport in and get to fightin'. I put some restrictions on myself: NO power armour, and nothing but plastic, no metal bitz allowed. Here's a taste of what I managed to get through before the next shiny too my eye:

HAEMONCULUS COVEN - THE FLESHWROUGHT - c. 2011-12

This is probably the army I have managed to get the furthest into for many years before getting bored or side-tracked by something else. When the new Dark Eldar codex came out after like 10 years with no love, I was flicking through it and saw the amazing artwork of the Wracks, and I was hooked. Carnival of Flesh here I come! This was before there were any Coven models besides Urien and the Talos kits so I had to be inventive. Again, not the full range of stuff, just a horrifying taste:

There was also an expansion to this army started once the allies rules came out. I made a Craftworld list but modeled them as if they were are Dark Eldar Kabal that looted and used Eldar gear:

This was my second attempt at making a Techmarine conversion out of the Inq Artemis model. The first was done when the game was originally released and I was but a nipper. It was not very happy. This was the same model but stripped back, cleaned and totally overhauled

This was almost too much awesomeness in two posts. I really like the terminators with the added bulk, cool details on those.

 

The 54 mm techmarine totally stole the show though! That one deserves a paintjob and more pics, great work!
