To be honest it looks like the head and body are one piece; the neck join looks too smooth for a head component. It's not too bad even if they are one piece; you'll just have to be very careful with the cut not to ruin the neck, although you might have to round the edges off anyway to get it into the Reiver neck join.

I need these models just to make my chapter master with the ravens perched on his top banner; although Kromlech have a few resin crows too. Now I need a cloak of crow feathers as well.

It's a bit worrying that this AoS faction are Chaos aligned and worship a giant corvid. The lore for my DIY chapter is that they don't like Chaos and mutation just like real world crows shun white-feathered albinos and other mutant birds.

Thinking about which heads could be used for some Chaplains. The champion looks like it'll be a lot of work trying to get that monstrous head to fit the scale but some of the others look useable. Not too sure about the top-knots but they could fit..

O.O

......what if they're worshipping Corax?

In the short story Shadow of the Past, Corax has embraced his nature as a creature of the Warp. He has taken on a number of attributes that could lead to him being seen as a bird god, such as transforming into hundreds of ravens.

What if the Warp spit him out into AoS and these cultists are worshipping him?

Wasn't Tzeentch referred to as 'the Raven God' in the old Warhammer Fantasy MMORPG?

I can see these folks dwelling in the thoroughly-polluted manufactorums of Deliverance... with the Raven Guard looking on from the shadows asking themselves if this sinking feeling in their heart is what the Orks who crashlanded on Angelis felt when they met Diggas...

I'm probably in the minority, but I prefer my Astartes to look sleek and clean in their power armor. I never went in for the Harvey Birdman look with feathers and wings everywhere.

These models look cool, but...messy. Unkempt?

Well, they ARE Chaos cultists....

I just meant in relation to their use as Raven Guard conversion fodder.

I need the kit for just a few pieces. Specifically for converting the guy who wears the skeleton of a roc on his armor.

They are messy and unkempt, but here is my plan:

6 Raven-Skull heads (These can be hollowed-out and used to adorn vehicles/dreads/shoulderpads - or retrofit over Astartes helmets)

2 Actual Ravens (Librarians or on top of an Ancient Standard)

7 Corvia (at least 7 of these visible, probably more along the back view - common/traditional to adorn RG Astartes armor)

1 Raven Skull Totem (On the bottom-left guys back - I think this could make a great banner-topper)

All of the weapons would look GREAT on a Carcharadon detachment I have been eyeing

And whats left over from the bodies can be tossed into a bin for cultist bodies in the future for a CSM project.

The kit is very unique for the Warcry/Sigmar range for sure.

I was thinking about how to use them, too, but without success.

I mean, sure, you can cut off all the raven bling and put it on your RG chars and vehicles, and use the chaos cultists as… chaos cultists, if you have a place for such.

On the other hand: I don’t, I also don’t need corvia if I can stamp them whenever I want, and I’m sure there will be cheaper way to pet get ravens if I ever happen to want any.

In any kind of structure related to the Raven Guard I see no place for half-naked barbarians. There probably are raven cults in some primitive corner of Kiavahr, but you most likely won’t have an application for their models. They don’t fit as in the slightest way organized PDF, nor as RG or RG-related servitors or human servants.

Blood Angels (+successors) have servants that are running around halve naked and some of them probably unpractically decorated, but we are no BA. If we happen to decorate our tanks, then only because the STC has no slopes anyway. :p

I love the enforcers for scout replacements. Heads at a minimum, but whole bodies probably. I'll be interested to see how big/small they are in the real world.

The warcry faction is interesting. I'm casually keeping tabs on the game. My friends and I tried to get a mordheim campaign going and it stalled out. I would love to see what exactly this game looks like to have a fantasy skirmish game to delve into. Might get my wife on board at that point.

I like the raven cultist models, but the conversion potential is getting into the 'more trouble than it's worth' for me.

The enforcers look good as counts as, but lack of heavy weapons and just one sniper make it difficult for scout squad loadouts.  This might become easier when they release the inevitable weapons sprue for them though.  Reivers for sure though.

I'm also not buying a box just for the heads.  That means these guys get stuck with shouty lumpy heads or in the case of reivers skull helmets.  The models are too nice for such a horrible fate!

My biggest fear is there was a rumour a Loyalist Primarch would return having turned to Chaos. It would be terrible if it was Corax!

Nothing says he actually has to fall to be worshipped by them.

Cultists are generally pretty dumb.

They are humans after all.

But no, I wouldn’t expect any links from an AoS skirmisher to a 40k Primarch, either.
