Minimum Range

If a unit has a weapon with a minimum range (example: Plagueburst Crawlers motar 12"-48") can it target a unit that isn't completely 12" away from it?

Are you required to measure range from the closest part of the shooting unit to the closest part of the target unit?

Shooting rules on page 179 of the rulebook state at "2.  Choose Targets":

 

"In order to target an enemy unit, a model from that unit must be within the Range of the weapon being used [...]."

 

So, no, you don't have to measure to the closest model

What Dr_Ruminahui says. It's the same as when you shoot a unit where you can see only one model but can still kill the ones you can't see.
