My current thinking for a 2K ITC List

Mars Battalion

Cybernetica Cohort

HQ

Belisarius Cawl

Tech Priest Manipulus - Doctrina Foreas Servo Skull, Transonic Cannon

TROOPS

3 x 5 Skitarii Rangers

HEAVY SUPPORT

4 Kastelan Robots - 12 Heavy Phosphor Blasters

3 Kastelan Robots - 9 Heavy Phosphor Blasters

Mixed Battalion

Servitor Maniple

HQ

Tech Priest Engineseer (Graia)- WARLORD, Master of Biosplicing

Tech Priest Engineseer (Graia)

TROOPS

2 x 5 Skitarii Rangers (Graia)

3 Kataphron Destroyers (Mars) - Plasma Culverin, Cognis Flamer

ELITES

Servitors (Agripanaa)

18 Fulgurite Priests ( Lucius)

Stygies Battalion

HQ

2 x Tech Priest Engineseer

TROOPS

3 x 5 Skitarii Rangers

Assassin -2CP

Total 1990 points 14CP after Assassin and Specialist Dets.

The idea of the list is to have the Kastelans and Destroyers given additional range through the Manipulus and the ability to move and shoot from Cybernetica Cohort. Being outranged is a real issue for the Bots and this can assist. The Doctrina allows me to change the Protocol for one unit Turn 1 with the stratagem and have the other one ready Turn 2 and save the CP. If both need to go into double shot Turn 1 then thats fine.

By having the Destroyers in the Mixed Det I can give them a 5++, restore dead models and still benefit from everything in the Mars Det like increased range, rerolls etc and use the +1 to hit Stratagem for both them and the Bots.

The Graia units will be a screen and potentially deny Psychic Powers on a 4+. The Stygies Detachment will probably have my Engineers Secondary due to the -1 to hit.

Depending on how it goes I can remove the Assassin, saving the 2CP and 85 points. Then add in a Lucius Manipulus instead of a Graia TPE in the Mixed Detachment, saving a further 30 points. Then pay a CP to give him the Solar Flare to appear next to the DSing Priests and give them +1" Charge. Playtesting will see which way I go.

What would bother me about this list is how to hand,e exceptionally aggressive assault armies. Stuff like GSC and Custodes. I don’t know how you would be able to defend against it.

I have yet to play GSC so I am not sure. They dont seem to have much of a presence in my meta.

Also Custodes where I am are moving away from assault and into grav tanks and telemons, at least for the moment

Any suggestions?

I like it. I’d hate to have to keep track of all the rules associated with running different forge worlds though.
