It's a friendmaker list for sure.

I assume it's for highly-competitive  *cough*  tournament play ?

There's everything tacked into 2.5k pts. a lot of people wouldn't wanna face combined like that.

- A Primarch plus a LoW

- Raptora Sekhmet (as troops)

- Three 5'' Phosphex Pies

- Two 5'' Demolisher Pies

-  ... and an Arcus.

Maybe a null-deploy list has a fair chance against it, but even when one manages to take out most of the heavy armour turn one, there'll still be Magnus and the Sekhmet coming in.

But yes, on a personal note, I'd play against it (see last line below).

Now, onto more serious tactical advice:

- Your Sekhmet are horribly under-equipped, you want five combi weapons and two chain fists in there.

- 'Corvidae'  will help with the shatter shells, but won't do jack for the phosphex on the Rapiers.

- 'Machine Spirit'  on the Vindicators makes no sense.

- Not giving the super-heavy tank its Lascannon sponsons is a waste.

- Where is the Siege Breaker going ?  (In case the answer is 'the Rapiers', consider the following: The crew is unity type infantry, the Rapiers themselves are unit type artillery.)

- You only have two scoring units ...

I do agree with the Terminators being under equipped, it's finding the points I would like them to outfitted the same then there is no drawback to one of them rolling levitation and Magnus could go in either units and not be disadvantaged.

The Corvidae on the raipers it's the only sensible cult seems they get it for free, and the machine spirit is there so the vindicators can always move twelve and fire its main cannon at full BS even if someone made it snap fire the turn before

I left the las cannons off the Typhon because you can put them on cheaper on the javelins which hit on 2's for ground targets. So if it come to the fact I can't get rid of armour i will probably change them out

So just by looking at your list one can (with a pinch of prejudice) assume you come from the 40k competitive scene and have been playing many competitive tournaments and now you want to start playing 30k so you find out which legion is the most competitive and what are the most competitive units so that you can win 30k tournaments.

So before you throw yourself into 30k (again, assuming you come from 40k) I suggest you consider the following advice I gave to someone else about to start out playing 30k:

Gameplay-wise 30k is somewhat more level and equal than 40k (custodes and maybe mechanicum is an exception to this, those are strong armies). Since the majority of players choose to build and paint a legion list and the legions have access to almost the exact same wargear and units so all legion players can choose to build very powerful army lists or not, but most don't. WAAC-mentality is very much frowned upon in the 30k community and you will not make many friends if you field an army were majority of the units are very powerful ones. Competitiveness and trying to find a way to make a list that "breaks all others" is generally not accepted at all. Few 30k tournaments reward participants for winning the games. They are more about playing a narrative. Which brings me to the next point:

30k community is very fluff driven, average 30k player feels a genuine interest in the fluff and have read at least the first 3-5 horus heresy novels by black library, and/or read the fluff in the black books. People build army lists related to events in the book. For example, if you build a very tank heavy White Scars army people will frown upon it.

30k players can be quite strict with modelling, they rather use 30k plasma/melta guns than 40k ones, even if the difference is quite small. Same with Rhinos and Land Raiders. Only MkII to MkV or perhaps MkVI armour on your power armoured infantry is socially accepted.

To enjoy respect and genuine acceptance in the community you will have to build and paint your army to a somewhat "good standard". This is not a big problem if you already do paint your models (you might need to learn some painting schemes and techniques). but for many 40k players that are happy with just building the models and perhaps priming them and drybrushing a couple of colours the 30k community can seem somewhat "elitist" due to the implicit expectation of painting your army to a certain standard. You can witness this if you go to events and tournaments. Many 40k events are quite chill will painting requirements (grey plastic armies seen on occasion) but if you witness a random 30k event you will see that not only are participants quite stringent with the paintjob, the modelling is done adhering to wysiwyg and armour/wargear representing the 30k times.

So to summarize:
30k players are generally very keen and ambitious modellers and painters and LOVE the fluff! They are way less keen to win games and tournaments. 30k community is pretty much like a historical wargames community where lot of effort is put to make sure models correspond to the (hi)story.

WAAC-lists is very much frowned upon.

So you are strongly advised  to consider putting down the time, effort and $$$ to read the books, build and paint your army as per the fluff to get most out of the 30k hobby socially.

If you start building a 30k army, expect hours and hours of building and painting before playing

I scim read this because I'm at work, but I don't play 40k I think 8th ed is rubbish, and I have read a lot of the books before I even bought a model, thousand sons just happened to be my favourite much like Egypt being my favourite ancient civilization.

This is for a tournament im going to anyway that's why it's a bit Scummy, because quite a lot of the players are playing to win at our local.

Ive played quite a few games of 30k been to a Warhammer world tournament so I know what it's all about. So I already have most of the model built and painted well too

Ok, so my assumptions are wrong then. I guess your local scene is very different from the typical 30k communities were "tournaments" are more narrative driven events that doesn't aim to find the "best" player.

If you're having a mutual expectation and understanding with your opponents of bringing very powerful lists then there is no harm in that. Be aware that in typical 30k communities that list would be seen as a list used to "unfriend" you fellow players! :)

To be honest I know,my normal list doesn't have the Typhon or the javelins has less quad mortars so it's more friendly.

But for example I went to a doubles tournament recently and my two friends brought.

9 preds

4 arcus's

2 venators

2 battle tank

2 javelins

And the people they were playing said it was the best games they had were against them, so most of the time it's how you come across as well, because the list they brought was broken
