Sword Brother Adelard
Before anyone frets too much. The Crusader Squad is on the datasheet list. It's just with our special characters, rather than with the troop options. Curiously, there doesn't appear to be any restriction on the make up of the squad, i.e. the split between Neophytes and Initiates. You just have to take models armed with either boltguns or close combat weapons in multiples of 5. Also, special weapons don't seem to be a thing in Apoc. Heavy weapons only. Othniel's Blade
Reads to me like bolters and close combat weapons, not either/or.
Sword Brother Adelard
Quite. Any model in the same squad can be armed with either a boltgun or bolt pistol and CCW. So mixed weaponry is cool Are we disagreeing here? I'm confused.
Smirnov
There are no bolt pistols in Apocalypse so apocalyptic crusaders are equiped with bolters and CCW. I think it's just a matter of streamlining profiles where basic weapon entries are more in line of abilities rather then wargear
Sword Brother Adelard
Ah! cool I get it now. So just any model bar a heavy weapon marine can go in the amorphous crusader squad. (I'm planning to play special weapons as 'counts as' bolters, seeing as they don't exist.
Marshal Rohr
We’re going to be able to play our fluffiest armies in Apocalypse
Marshal Vespasian
Now if lrcs turn out excellent I will have to build some more melee crusaders
Sword Brother Adelard
The question will be whether it's better to min or max, unlike Tactical squads we can take a heavy per 5 men, they can only take one per 10. So do we take four 5s or one 20?
T1Mb0s!x
Why not both, it is apocalypse right? ;) Sword Brother Adelard 1 Back to top
Marshal Arthur
Anyone check out Helbrecht’s buff? +1 to wound rolls for Templar units in close combat. It looks pretty good and Assault terminators are looking pretty survivable.
SWORD BROTHER RYAN
I'm liking everything I'm seeing on Apoc so far, and personally can't wait to field the ENTIRE force I own in a single game that won't take days to complete!
Canadian_F_H
So do we still get power weapons in our crusader squadsin novapocalypse?
