Potential deal I could make, looking for advice

Okay, so. I've got a friend who's one of those players who owns a Warlord and like six Knights, as well as copious amounts of everything else. He's offering me a battalion of Custodes in exchange for me procuring and trading him three sealed Lords Discordant. The following list is what he's offering (calculated from sent photographs in Battlescribe):

Note I'm not actually certain what the Vexillus has, because I'm not sure about the vexilla and the pictures don't show his weapon. He actually might have a sword, I'm not certain. But this is quite a bit of Custodes, and I'm very interested in building a Custodes army in this points range. All models are assembled and painted by him; squads are color coded by their helmet-hair-whatever. Everyone but Trajann is wearing a helmet, including the Shield-Captain. The way I figure it, I'm getting a deal on it, but I'm asking for a bit of advice from the community at large. Disco Lords go for like $55 USD right now, which is right around what Custodian Guard and Wardens cost - and I'm also getting Valoris and some jetbikes with that. So... go for it, or nah?

 

Edit: I asked the friend, he said the Vexillus has a storm shield and no other weapons. I also statted him with the Vexilla Imperius (the most expensive) to make it a round 1,425 pts.

To be honest it seems like a good deal if you’re essentially getting Valoris and the Jetbikes free. They’re both good units and the rest of the list is really solid too so I would go for it (provided they’re assembled and painted to a standard you’re happy with). Edited July 12, 2019 by MARK0SIAN

The Vexillus are the Custodes carrying the banner sticks. These guys:

 

That being said, I do think that's a good deal. The Lord Discordant is 65 each, and that's 2 boxes of Custodians (120), a box of Wardens (60), Trajan (35) and the Vertus Praetors (60).

 

So, yes. That's a good deal imo

Ah, okay.

 

There's no (model-wise) difference between the Vexilla outside of the three different designs for each kit. So which Vexilla the Vexillus Praetor is carrying is up to you :lol:

Purely money wise it seems like a good trade, moreso if you can track down the Lords Discordant at reduced prices via third party stores.

Paint jobs are simple enough I could replicate it with the recipe, but good enough I don't wanna repaint the existing models.
