...however the WS upgrade sprue includes two chainsword arms, it is possible a 3 man unit (popular with specialist primaris squds) would be able to have a sergeant with sergeant weapon and two with chainswords (where other chapters would only have default unit options).

FWIW, the sprue only contains one chainsword arm, the same as Space Wolves and Blood Angels. There are just two sprues in the upgrade kit, thus why it costs twice as much.

Really am confused and disappointed with this release schedule, maybe they've had problems with manufacturing and had to push out the aeronautica before hand?

Death Guard waited months for some units. This is nothing new.

It's just gw congestion. They're trying to push a new specialist game, new skirmish expansion, soon to be new card game expansion, revamped lotr stuff and start going into the next campaign phase all during their space marine release. And that's just what we know is coming.

Ishagu is correct, but also extremely wrong at the same time. Death guard had to wait two months for the 1 model missing from their range. Everything else was crammed into their release month;

Codex+dice
Mortarion
Typhus
Foul blightspawn
Tallyman
Plague surgeon
Biologus putrifier
Plague marines
Icon bearer
Champion
Deathshroud
Blightlords
Bloat drone
Plagueburst Crawler

Vs

Total marine release;
Codex
Supplement+character+dice x6
Phobos captain
Phobos librarian
Reiver lt
Phobos lt?
Warsuit
Infiltrators/incursors
Eliminators
Impulsor

The death guard got 13 kits released in their month to the...5 of marines. This amount of dragging out is very new, they were at least fairly consistent with release months before.

Okay, since the Space Marine Codex is out, and we're waiting for the next set of supplements, I think we can close up the speculation part of this thread. I'm going to work through the thread and see if I can pull out some threads into their own topics. This will likely be a slow process, however, so if there are specific topics you want to discuss, feel free to start new ones and don't wait for me.
