Chaos Knights and Death Guard pairings?

What would be the most complimentary pairing of Deathguard and Chaos Knights?

I’ve been wondering that too. As far as I know there is no specific Nurgle chaos knight. There has been amazing conversions though but none done by GW themselves.

So without the Nurgle or daemon keyword is it worth running a seperate detachment?

Death Guard kind of lack consistent heavy firepower. So a Tyrant Castellan, or a Questoris with either the Rapid-Fire Battlecannon and Avenger Gatling Cannon, or two Avenger Gatling Cannons/two Rapid-Fire Battlecannons.

Any of the Knight options will work with Death Guard. As Gederas has pointed out, Death Guard anti-armour is quite lacking so heavy firepower goes a long way to offset that. On the other hand, CC Knights work well to hit the enemy line first and tie things up while the Legion advances.

 

Mid to close range firepower pairs well with the Death Guard's own rules, so everything would be hitting at once, especially a Conflagration Cannon / Thundercoil Harpoon Tyrant. It could also use the buff that gives a 5++ to any unit within 6" as well once they reach an objective or a favorable position on the board.
