Question regarding taking two guns of the same type

If I put two pistols on a model, can it fire both, and if so, can you source the passage in whatever rulebook says so? Simple enough question, I think.

 

For context, I have a Chaos Lord of Khorne with dual bolt pistols and nothing else. What's the rule for him? Can he actually do two bolt pistols?

Step one:

 

Does the Datasheet you are using allow you to take 2 (or more pistols)?  If yes... proceed...

 

Step two:

v3. Choose Ranged Weapon

The weapons a model has are listed on its datasheet. If a model has several weapons, it can shoot all of them at the same target, or it can shoot each at a different enemy unit. .

 

pg 180 - 

 

Pistols <snip> Each time a model equipped with both a Pistol and another type of ranged weapon (e.g. a Pistol and a Rapid Fire weapon) shoots, it can either shoot with its Pistol(s) or with all of its other weapons. Choose which it will fire (Pistols or non-Pistols)

 

 

EDIT - 

So your example of Chaos Lord, with the mark of Khorne, changes is Chainsword for a pistol & keeps his bolt pistol (for arguments sake here)

When firing you choose to shoot with Pistols, and fire both of them.

 

If instead he had to botguns he could fire them both, using the same rule on pg 179

 

IF how ever he was equipped with a boltgun & bolt pistol then he'd have to choose either one or the other, due to the pistols rule found on pg 180

Slasher956 answered it, but for practical purposes it isn't really worth it to take 2 bolt pistols.

 

You can do it if you want, but I suspect the pistols rule was created to allow dual plasma pistols. Or alternately to make Cypher's equipment legal to use.
