USNCenturion
Prefaced with the knowledge the rules of GK are a bit weak ATM and there may be a new codex dropping, I was wondering if the current book was worth buying from a fluff and art standpoint? I haven’t touched the Knights since 6th, but I wanted to grab the book for its fluff in case the next iteration appealed to me and this codex disappears. Anyone able to speak to the art and fluff piece quality of the book? If there are any new nuggets of lore or organization in it? Thanks!
USNCenturion
Secretive lot, you Grey Knights. What are you hiding? ;)
Icosiel
Activity has been sparse on this board since the turn of the year, which is a sign of the times for our Grey Knights. Fluff-wise, I love the Codex. I've read it cover to cover twice. There's a lot of cool stuff in there. Waking Dreamer
There are some new art pieces that I recall not included in the 7th or earlier. There is the 2 page spread of all the 8 brotherhood Banners. Pretty cool at seeing the detail and differences they put in the brotherhood insignias. They also have at least a page of fluff for each of the GK units, with some of their classic art as well. At the beginning you have the lore of Titan, and the different sections of their Forttress monastery, which builds a lot of the background character of GKs as a chapter. For GK fan, it's a recommend piece for your collection. USNCenturion 1 Back to top
techsoldaten
Honestly, I thought the current book could have done more to expand on Heraldry. It feels like an update to the 6th edition version more than a new edition. Not that it's bad. I don't mind having it, I just wish there was more.
