How do I inclulde an Imperial Knight in a Space Wolves army?

can someone please run me though how I can run a knight in an army alongside my wolves please? I've never really understood how to do it... Excuse my ignorance

You can bring a single Knight or multiple as part of a separate super heavy detachment. One knight would be a super heavy auxillary and multiple would be a super heavy detachment.

As long as there's no detachment limit due to you not playing a tournament game you basically just put the Knight in the list and its that simple. If you're not at the detachment limit anyway then its basically the same.

If you run a single knight in an auxiliary detachment you lose the house trait but still get to use stratagems and can pay CP for relic and WL trait

 

If you run a super heavy with a knight and 2 armigers or something you get all knight stuff. I suggest House Krast

 

The only thing you lose is ITC qualification as a Space wolf army. You would be Imperium because you are using allies. Also rules and buffs for 1 army usually dont apply to the other.

 

Armor of russ protecting a knight basically protects the knights biggest weakness (quick melee death)

 

Knights are awesome fun. I only stopped taking mine because i want Space Wolf points

Thanks for you help! I want to run a knight as a mix between distraction carnifex and dakka fex, also really want to build and paint one

The are great fun to build and paint. I got one when they first came out, with the intention of only having one as support for my wolves. I enjoyed building and painting it so much I now own 6 and field them as a solo army as often as I can.
