Heroes Wave three opinions?

They look very detailed and good but it's a pass for me. The Plague belcher/spewer is not a great loadout on pm's, and like wise with the icon of despair. I feel like plague marines going for melee is a waste of points. The Malignant plaguecaster looks better than the dark imperium one, but I only would ever use one and I already have one.

Just my opinions though!

I'm going to pick the normal guys up, luckily my Tokyo trip has fallen at the right time to pick them up myself. I won't pick up the plaguecaster as I don't want to be adding the paints to all the stuff I'll be carting around and he's too costly if I just bin them, probably will try to pick him up if he's around somewhere later though.

So far the pattern has been a Japan only release (or Japan and Hong Kong) then about a year later some form of global release that is not quite the same set (some models removed or swapped so the 'exclusive; stays 'exclusive')

A shame they are Japan only but that can be easily dealt with by going through online japan stores like Playasia, pretty decent price and shipping for them isn’t (well to here in NZ at least) I use them quite a lot mainly for anime and gunpla kits. Not really interested in the squad but will be picking up the plague Caster who comes as part of a paint set which is actually pretty decent for the price about $72 NZ

“The kit includes a plastic model kit miniature of Pustus the Vile together with 12 different Citadel paints, a brush and a full-color how to paint booklet (Japanese). A character card for Pustus the Vile, as well as water-application decals, are also included for the perfect set! Pustus the Vile is exclusive to this special set and has been sculpted in immaculate detail for fans to enjoy! The paints include six base colors, three-layer colors and two shade colors and one technical color allowing you to experience the Citadel Painting System with just one set“

There are Toy sites out there that focus on Japanese models and toys that are not released in the US that does give you the option to get them in that manner.  This is a legal method of getting them but you are paying shipping and dealing with the exchange rates.  I don't they are out until next month their.

I plan to get the entire set, the more sculpts the better if like me you are not a strong converter.

Only thing I need to decide is if I want them now or just wait until they get a global release next year sometime.

Here, here! I really love the Plague Marine lines, and the more unique the better!

That's the main reason I want them. I dont want a ton of duplicates! I think there's enough bits to make them all look just different enough, but that is definitely something I strive for.

I already pre-ordered the Wave 3 Marines, I'll eventually get the Sorcerer as well. To me it's not even about fielding the models or whatever, it's about having a good time painting something new. These days the hobby is a larger aspect of 40K for me than games, so any time I have the chance to grab something for one of my armies that I don't have I jump on it.
