ShinyRhino
On page 166 of the new codex, there's lists of what different relics from supplements count as flamer and bolt weapons. On the list is "Blackout." I'm guessing this is a relic sniper rifle for us? The name feels familiar, but I can't place it.
MajorNese
Yep, probably ours. But I don't think it was mentioned anywhere in previous publications. Hope it's a kind of sniper rifle that my primaris Raptors could use.
Nusquam
Queitus was a sniper rifle from the original RG supplement. IIRC a scout sarge could take it. It wasn't a bolt weapon then however. Blackout seems fitting as well.
SanguinaryGuardsman
I hope it is a sniper rifle that ignores LOS, cover, modifiers, FNP, invulns, rules, good taste, and shield drones. I bet we also get... 1 set of relic claws that is a threat to vehicles. 1 relic jump pack.... probably what we had in the previous codex 1 relic scope or auspex that does something cool... like ignore invulns on a target or friendly unit 1 relic set of phobos armour that you can give to a non phobos primaris character 1 relic combat knife that a phobos captain or LT can use 1 stupid pistol relic no one will ever use
SanguinaryGuardsman
Queitus was a sniper rifle from the original RG supplement. IIRC a scout sarge could take it. (???) correction... the relic sniper rifle from 7th was called Nihilus. Edited August 18, 2019 by SanguinaryGuardsman
SyNidus
Nihilus is correct. And This is quite likely. I hope it is a sniper rifle that ignores LOS, cover, modifiers, FNP, invulns, rules, good taste, and shield drones. Nusquam
So much faux latin. So then Quietus is for the UM supplement and Black Out could be ours. When I hear "Black Out" I think power loss or comms failure. Maybe it's a relic stalker that can target characters and turns off character auras? Shadow Captain Vyper
So much faux latin. So then Quietus is for the UM supplement and Black Out could be ours. When I hear "Black Out" I think power loss or comms failure. Maybe it's a relic stalker that can target characters and turns off character auras? How about this: Blackout Replaces a model's Master-Crated Boltgun, Master-Crafted Stalker Bolt Rifle, or Master-Crafted Instigator Bolt Carbine. When targetting a vehicle with this weapon, after hitting with this weapon, instead of rolling to wound, instead roll a D3. The target suffers that many mortal wounds. R 36" | S 5 | AP -2 | D3 | Heavy 2 Blackout is a specially modified Bolt Sniper Rifle handed down through centuries. It's rounds have been improved to include an EMP warhead that rests behind the depleted uranium core, allowing the bearer to pierce even the toughest of armor to deliver an electromagnetic pulse from within the target, disabling it's electronics. casb1965
So in 7th ed Nihilius was 36" range Heavy 1 Strength X AP3 With Strength 6 against vehicles Armourbane - so 2d6 plus strength for armour pen. So for 8th that'd be?
