Wraithwing Posted August 20, 2019 Share Posted August 20, 2019 Hi Folks, Just contemplating adding a unit of Veteran Intercessors to my Novamarines army. I'll be using the UM chapter trait for my Novamarines. I'll probably be going with a Power Fist on my Sergeant, but wondered what Bolter variant you would recommend? I usually stick with Bolt Rifles, but am tempted to go with Auto Bolters due to the Assault 3 change. I'm planning on riding these with a Captain or Gravis Captain. Sticking to a 5 man squad for now. Closet Skeleton Posted August 20, 2019 Share Posted August 20, 2019 Keeping to a 5 man squad due to the change to the stratagem cost I'd definitely go for a thunder hammer over a power fist and probably the auto bolt rifles. Consider making it master crafted if you can. 4 Str 8 straight 4 damage. You could in theory pop a LR or a Repulsor in one turn with just him alone. A Sgt in your army can pick from 4 specific items from the special issue wargear (not relics but they are for rules purposes) in the UM supplement. Master crafted weapon is one of those.
