So White Scars can outflank a Repulsor?

They kept that quiet lol

Aww man, I'm so jealous. That is such a powerful ability for the Repulsor - either variant!

Powerful ability for most any unit, but keeping one pristine and protected turn 1 is pretty awesome, though at the cost of Devastator Doctrine benefiting it.

Good catch - I was personally really caught up in the lightning debarkation strat to even consider this.

People are starting to bring up Incursors too. Combinations made with traits granting extra hits in combat, and how it boosts paired blades even further.

I think we'll see some interesting combos at the London GT.

So using Incursors with Whirlwind of Rage next to a Chapter Master, to re-roll everything that isn’t a 6. On a 6 I would get 3 hits, if going against Heretic Astartes I would then roll an additional 3 dice against them. Interesting. Edited by CCE1981

I believe there was a ruling in the latest FAQ against allowing a unit to disembark with either the Stratagem or Assault Vehicle rule (Impulsor) after arriving from reserve, which stinks.  But yes, you can Outflank any White Scars unit, which is powerful.

Ultimately, unless facing serious anti-tank, I'd rather advance the Repulsor up the field (utilizing auto-launchers, Ride Hard Ride Fast, and other buff/debuff powers) so as to enable the use of Lightning Debarkation and not pigeonhole myself into needing to arrive 6" from the edge.

The one thing I've very happy about is I believe that the Scars supplement has made bringing 1 single Repulsor viable, since there are so many options to protect it, including Outflanking.

With players having to plan for facing GSC and all the deployment shenanigans they bring, Da Jumping Ork boyz and now WS deep strike options it increases the importance of screening correctly and having some units that can allow you board control.

So I expect the humble SM Scouts to still be a valuable unit when building a tournament list. LGT will be fascinating to see how the new SM codex changes the meta.

At least 40k isn't dominated by a single faction now in tournament play with 4 or 5 factions strong enough to win a 5 game tournament. There's still a pecking order and the amount of Los terrain can have a game changing effect for some factions but overall competitiveness is better than it's been for some time.

I'd love to see a WS marine army in the mix to win without needing the guilliman gunline style of list that was around for a while
