PSA about Aeronautica Imperialis tokens

Friend of mine who didn’t get the starter got his separate tokens from GW. Unlike the ones in the starter (which are thick board game style punch card stock), the ones direct from GW are just on semi gloss ‘thinner than business card’ stock. Pretty crap really.

 

So I’d recommend waiting for some 3rd party ones (acrylic or something would be good).

I made 25mm movement dials that just use 5x1mm magnets to hold the indicator in place. They can printed on any 3d printer I know of.

I received an envelope with tokens in it for my Rynn's World Collection order and haven't opened it up yet.  Funny they were in a generic envelope, I will have to check the quality on it when I get home.

Sadly they are of poor quality.  I have the starter box as well, so I will just default to using those unless I end up playing a big game. 

 

No one at my FLGS has ordered this game.  I have only been able to get the two games in on the weekend when it came out.  I am getting nervous about the system.  Hopefully you all are getting some games in.

That's terrible. The punch card ones in Wings of Vengeance are perfect, whereas those paper-thin ones... Ugh.

 

Regarding playing AI, I had my first game two nights ago, another couple planned for tomorrow against the same opponent, and then another one on Wednesday with someone who's curious about the game and potentially one more curious spectator who has yet to confirm.

TL;DR - playing games and doing my duty to get other people interested in the system. :)

The website does say they are the same ones that are in the box set, this is obviously not the case, I would send them back and ask for a refund.

It's weird, it's like they had outsourced the tokens to two different manufacturers...weird decision there. I don't think GW has their cards or cardstock boards printed in house. They definitely need to edit the text and i'm sure they are getting a lot of returns cause they are not as advertised.

Aye, you should definitely seek a replacement or at the very least a refund. Since you ordered one of their bundles, I assume you got it direct from GW which means that your order is in the system which should make things less of a hassle. :tu:
