The point about trying to make it a series instead of a bunch of different author specific trilogies is spot on. The series is at its best when it’s one author following themselves.

Depends on the author, I'd say. What we've got is the equivalent of the MCU if the reins of Kevin Feige were looser, and you had a broader range of ability among the directors.

 

Like, if the SoH had gone from Abnett's hands to ADB's and then French's, I doubt we'd have much to complain about.

The White Scars have a stronger arc than the Luna Wolves/Sons of Horus in the HH series. Who would have thunk...

Tinfoil hat time- the last primarchs book will be a bonus book after they all release, but it will be about the Emperor/ or two dummy thicc books with nine short story's each with him with each primarch from the Emperor's perspective.
