Ultra Supplement for Successors?

Is there any great value fluff and or crunch wise, of the Ultramarine supplement to successor players? I play Silver Skulls. My FLGS didn't have one to look at when I picked up the Marine codex.

 

I don't run named characters so that's nothing I am concerned with.

Stratagems, Warlord Traits, Special Issue Wargear (which are relics, and has probably one of the best ones in the game), the upgrade Combat Doctrine.

And all of that is available to successors?

Yes.

 

As long as you play an established Successor Chapter, which Silver Skulls are, then you can use all of the above. Only thing not available to you are named characters. You can even use it if you have a homebrew, and say that they are UM successors. 

 

It's got some amazing rules for Successors, so really worth picking up. In fact, I'd say it's a must.

The Ultramarines Supplement has the benefit of the Relics, Warlord Traits, Psychic powers and Strategums for Successors so it's worth it.

To be more clear, an Ultramarine successor chapter gets access to everything in the supplement except the named characters and the Ultramarine specific relics (which you can take if you spend CP).

And there's a Strategum called Fallback and Re-engage which only those with Codex Discipline get at 1CP. Everyone else pays 2.
