Creating an army for a friend

I recently had an idea to gift a Space Marine army to a friend of mine. He's never played 40k before, has no idea what the rules are or anything. 100% blank slate. 

 

So what I'm wanting to do is build him a 1000pt all-around list. Disregarding the Chapter Tactics for the time being. I just want to focus on the bare basics for now. And ideally, I want it to be an all-Primaris force.

 

Any suggestions for a good 1000pt All-Primaris starter list?

Librarian

 

Troops

Infiltrator Squad: 5x Infiltrator, 1x Coms,

2x Intercessor Squads: 10x Intercessors with bolt rifle of choice depending on Chapter. Bolt Rifles for Ultras, Stalkers for Iron Hands, Auto for basically everyone else.

 

Elites

2x Aggressor Squads: Boltstorm Gauntlets and Fragstorm

Apothecary

 

Heavy Support

2x Hellblaster Squads: 5x Hellblasters

 

Transport

2x Repulsors: Twin Lascannons, Heavy Onslaught, Light Onslaught, 3x Stormbolters

 

Hellblasters can kill MEQ, TEQ, and characters well, and light armor. Repulsors are good for horses and bigger vehicles. Intercessors are work horses for ob sec and bolter shots for GEQ and MEQ, and Infiltrators hang out in the back to stop DSing. Librarians are always good, even if just for denying powers, helpful against stuff like Nids and Eldar. Everything else is standard stuff.

 

Oops: That's a 2k list.

 

 

For 1k I would do a similiar build, but drop an Apothecary, both Repulsors, and MSU the Intercessors which should be about 1k
