Marnus
Hey Everyone, I'm getting back into 40k and am curious what people think about this: If a unit embarks onto an Impulsor, then the Impulsor moves (but doesn't advance), can they then disembark? The Impulsor Assault Vehicle rule seems to overrides the basic Disembark rules from the rulebook. I'm assuming the unit can't move after embarking and then disembarking since the embark rules say: "If all models in a unit end their move within 3" of afriendly transport in the Movement phase, they can embark withinit. Remove the unit from the battlefield and place it to one side – itis now embarked inside the transport." I tried asking GW to get this in the FAQ, but I guess I was to late or not enough people were asking. I'm curious because I would like to use character abilities that must be activated at the start of the battle round, then slingshot them with Impulsor. E.g. chaplain litanies of battle. Thanks! Aside, I'm assuming another unit could embark in the impulsor after the first unit got out.
Panzer
The rules for transports on page 183 in the rulebook clearly states "Note that a unit cannot both embark and disembark in the same turn.", so no. To your second question, yes if one unit disembarks another unit can embark on the same transport in the same turn.
Marnus
Thanks, I missed the rule in the intro to the section.
