Land Raider mkII

Recommended Posts

Dont need to convert anything, all SM Vehicles barring those that weren't in production during the Heresy (LRC, LRR, LS Storm, Hunter, Stalker, Storm Talon, Storm Raven, etc.) are all good to use basically as-is.

In terms of converting one into a MkIIb, there might be some tutorials in the forge somewhere because I recall people having done so and posted about it here but sadly cant remember off the top of my head who.

Check here for tread conversions https://www.ebay.com/str/bloodandskullsindustry that is what I plan to use. As far as the mkii styled sponsons Blood and Skulls have some that look OK. There may be some better 3rd party ones out there I don’t know about. Chapter house ones were the best but RIP. If nothing else there is plasticard. I wish FW sold the MKii resin as an upgrade kit.

Nice, thank you guys.

I know that I dont *have* to covert it, especially as my fists are protecting the solar System. But I LOVE the Verdun vibe those Sponson give off. I actually mainly care about the sonsons to be completely honest.

Mackenzie: do you know If those Sponson fit the common lr? Also which treads would you use.

I was able to convert two landraiders to have fully wrapped treads visible on top by ordering a space set of treads on Ebay. That's like, halfway to what you'd want, right?

You have to cut the top panels where they would overlap the treads, and sand down the cross beams that hold the two halves of each side down.

Well as I said, I am mainly about the sponsons. I know two guys with filament Printers so maybe they could orint that file for me dunno how it will look, filament isnt as smooth as I'd like.

Then again sandpaper does exist.

I guess that will be the best way to do it then. Or I just go with Mars pattern.
