There are some groups that choose to side with the Warmaster, and Koschei allows them to leave without conflict, wishing to respect their choice, likely due to lingering guilt from his own actions. Those elements that break away to pursue their own ends however, are given two choices...return to the fold, or be destroyed. Most of these small bands suffer the same fate of the rest of the Legion when Alexander enacts his ritual, and spark secondary plague outbreaks wherever they are.
