Excellent work on the Judiciar. Is his pose one of religious devotion, i.e., he's praying to Russ for victory in the coming battle? Or one of defiance, i.e., he's shouting, "Bring it on!" to enemies he's about to face in battle?

More the bring it on thing, he might be an omen of death/Morkai but I think he himself is more of a pragmatist, at least in that moment...

Models are looking great! That judicar especially. That come at me pose is perfect.

 

A second light source could help with the pictures. Indirect and from a different angle. Like a lamp pointed at the backing, or tape a piece of white paper over a lamp. Wont work miracles but can get rid of some of the shadows.

As far as your list goes, I would remove the grenade launchers from the intercessors and add a helix gauntlet to the infiltrates. It will add some durability to the unit, and I don't think you'll miss the grenade launchers.

Thanks. I actually wanted to add the gauntlet, but didn't find the option for some reason... I'll look into it.

so... I did my first 2,000 pts game against Black Legion. Boy, does this take long  .
We stopped after 3 turns, already 6 hours in. I lost, but not by much (32 - 40). Was pretty far behind in the beginning, but shredded nearly everything I managed to charge. The multimelta long fangs destroyed two contemptor dreadnoughts, and the thunderwolf cavalry hammered Abbadon into the ground which was quite satisfying (after he bested Björn in combat though). Blood Claws proved themselves once again, they nearly took out the last contemptor after chewing through a large horde of cultists.
It was fun, but there was a lot of rule book checking involved, which was quite dragging.
Anyway, I guess I will enforce the melee elements of my list, while I'm not too sure if Intercessors are really needed in the future. Did you make srimiliar experiences?
I also think I will be able to show off some conversions/ new units in the next days. Thanks for reading (if you did ).

Not gonna lie pretty impressed you went with 2000 points game 1. That's a lot of moving pieces lol. As far as troops are concerned I really think it depends on your plan for objectives, I like some of the action based ones and Intercessors don't feel like they're sacrificing much to do them. So I'm a fan but YMMV.

It was actually my second game, but due to covid the last one was half a year ago. But yeah, it really took a lot of time and I think we'll go back to 1,500 for the next one.

Looking solid. Why put the fangs in the pod though? Wouldn't it be better to have a second blood claw pack and have the fangs giving fire from turn one instead of trying to snipe something turn two? Whole lotta melee either way, love it.
