Locus vs. Acolytes vs. brood brothers

Suppose you had 40 points leftover, which of the following would you rather take:

• a Locus
• 5 Acolytes with hand flamers
• a squad of 10 brood brothers

and why?

Acolytes. In range, they'll generate 17/18 hits, whereas the brood brothers are just 19 shots at rapid range, or 9/10 hits. And going forward, the acolytes are choppier in combat too (16 S4 hits against 12 S3 hits).

 

The brood brothers bring more wounds, but I find that if people need to remove a squad of ten, they usually can anyway.

 

And both can sit on objectives if necessary.

 

Not used a locus yet, so can't comment there.

 

Also, acolytes look more cultish, and are top models.

 

This is all through the lens of my own Cult force, currently set up for a lot of Four-Armed Emperor ambushing shenanigans, so acolytes fit that better for me.
