I was using the stormtrooper PFs but yeah, I can totally see those on 28mm guys.  It would look good on an Inquisitor or SoB (not that they have them but count as a maul).

And once again I am toying with the idea of converting a bunch of these AT scale knights into some sort of Terminator Army.

What about AdMech?

If I did not already have 1500p of Thallax/Ursarax then that might indeed be a good way forward. Maybe if the long delayed 40k rules for them come out I can do a small allied force using the AT knights.

You could just do an AdMech counts-as-SM-Termie army in 40k.  Those powerfists would look amazing and stormbolters would graft right on the arms.  

 

Now I love the Vorax guys, it really is too bad those models weren't plastic.  That would be SUCH a better 40k AdMech army than the infantry they have now. These would make cool AT-scale conversions as well.

Also if I hadn't already bought a bunch of Cyclones off eBay then those missile launchers in the pack would make good conversion pieces for Tyrant Siege termies.

My GM box knights have been sitting on dories waiting for this, as House Cydonia only uses Skull helms or bare helms. Alas one skull helm per sprue means I’ll need to source a bunch of extra heads or but a lot of upgrade sprees.

New knights boxset is priced at £25, so I expect the two sprues direct only upgrade pack to come in at £10 (hopefully not more than that …).

There are no separate rules for the fists in AT unlike 40k, they just count as a CCW.  The rocket pod is a 10 or 15 point upgrade per model, the whole squad doesn't have to take them.  Even in the Knight Household list individual models can take meltaguns or rocketpods within a banner.

Semi-related: Has anyone actually played with Questoris armed with the rocket pods? On paper, a unit of three with rapid-fire battle cannons and pods seems like it would be a decent shield stripping nuisance unit: That's 15 shots with decent range, all for less than a Warhound. But then again, Questoris seem to be pretty generally maligned, and with the Acastus now in the mix, I'm not sure they have a role at all. At least not the missile/RFBC build. 

 

I ask because I have a unit of three Questoris with RFBCs that have been built for ages - including a lovingly-converted RFBC for the leader - and awaiting missile pods. But now I'm not sure if its worth the spend.

Of all the lists I've made I haven't included them.  They don't seem better than meltaguns and I almost always spent more points on my titans when points were left over.  Given the new build-your-own-legio rules with plenty of small equipment upgrades to your big platforms I just don't see myself having the points.

 

Will I buy them anyway? Yes.

There's a leaked 'rest of the year' release list going around that lists an AT Knight Battleforce. No idea on contents but if it includes Questoris, I would hope it has one of these sprues in. It's on my watch list.

From the price listed and the % savings in the Titan Battlegroup box, I'd speculate it'll be either 6 Questoris, 4 Cerastus and 2 Acastus or 9 Questoris, 2 Cerastus and 2 Acastus (so either way you basically get the Acastus free)

Okay, tinfoil hat time - the two new transfer sheets released today both have a new icon alongside the those currently used to identify titan classes - you've got the fanged maw for the Warhounds, the single axe for the Reaver, the crossed Axes for the Warlord, and there's a new drawn bow icon. These are all together in the 'extra icons' section of the Legio Tempestus & Atarus sheets, and the new icon is absent from all the preexisting transfer sheets for the other Legios.

 

Does this indicate we've got a new class of Titan coming? The obvious candidate would be the Warbringer given that its artillery role seems fitting for the drawn bow icon, but I seem to remember the SG team was suggesting they might produce an entirely new class of titan before porting the Warbringer across?
