I dunno, I'd probably find four hundred and twenty termagants fun. The only obstacle is, you know, Painting four hundred and twenty termagants.

But then again, I'm a Skaven at heart. So I would like that idea tongue.png Just goes to show, though, that it's all really up in the air as far as balance is concerned.

I was thinking more untouchable airforces and static gunlines as they ignore as much of the rest of the game as they can in favor of trying to gain advantages over their opponents.

That 400 gaunts idea would be interesting to watch, but with many tournaments using chess clocks, the list would probably run into time issues even with movement trays.

Are mvt trays like the apoc ones even legal for regular play? I don't think so ?

Is there any reason they wouldn't be?

While there is nothing saying they can't, there is also nothing saying they can either which is why I question if we could do it in the first place.

Since we're talking tournaments: ask your TO. They'll probably say it's fine though since it decreases chances of slow play.

Outside of tournies talk to your opponent.

There's really no reason why movement trays wouldn't be legal and they got used regularly in 40k even before the new Apoc stuff was a thing.

Disclaimer:

If my posts appear rude to you, I apologize. It's not meant to be rude in any way, it's just the way folks are in my country. It's really more about being direct than being rude. I know how it's perceived in the english speaking community and I already try to tone it down but I barely notice when it's too much since it's normal for me.

So yeah, I'm really not rude it's basically just cultural differences that act against me here. Again, I apologize.

I don't see why not, I have seen a video of a tournament game where both players were using them. Not like its an unfair advantage...unless you consider "getting on with the game" an unfair advantage :D

I Chapter Master 454, Chapter Master of the Angels of Justice, Warboss of WAAAGH Gubskul, Commander of a Catachan Regiment, Phaeron of a Tomb World, Shas'O to a Cadre and Princeps of a lance of House Taranis hereby pledge that I will not take up any further models til all other prior have been fully built and painted to tabletop standards. There is no time limit for this task, there is no deadline. My oath is to solemnly complete the armies I have now, to see it that they can have their glory. Paint will be stripped from the old in need, thick may it be like ceramite I will see it removed so that plastic and metal alike may see light of new paint. Models yet to be, boxed and in darkness will be assembled with due care and attention. For this task I am permitted to still buy the supplies needed to do my task but not one model more.

http://www.bolterand...one-model-more/ the thread to my oath. My own reminder.
