Craftworld Iybraesil, WIP project log

I've had an eldar army sat in a pile of sprues for quite a long time, roughly since wake the dead came out as I managed to snag the eldar half and quite a bit more of dirt cheap. I finally know what scheme I want to go for, which as the title suggests is Iybraesil, and have painted a few test models. I have just finished my AoP board for my Iron taurans Space marine army and want to put them on the backburner for a little while so  some of my other projects can enjoy some of the painting mojo I have gained recently. I have played maybe 3 games with this army and enjoyed them thoroughly, although found that the craftworld traits were particularily lacklusture (although I am definitely spoiled as I play Marines mostly). With the PA book out I think I would run with create-a-trait probably with healing vehicles a wound a turn and increasing shuriken by 4" as I play against orks and 'nids a lot. Although the children of Morag-hei is particularly fluffy with my craftworld choice, I don't think it'll come up very much.

Test scheme wise, I tried several different blues and in the end chose TSons blue. I was unsure of whether guardians would have this many soul stones but iin the end I liked the look of it so I stuck with it. Here's the test model:

Any tips or C&C is much appreciated :happy.:

well done on finally getting around to them

i like the blue, it's not a usual blue you see on Eldar so that's a good thing, good craftworld choice too,my mate chose Iybraesil as well but he went the Hawk turquoise route...

watch those mold lines on the rest of you troops, and i'd recommend not doing every bump as a gem :tongue.:  it'll drive you crazy...

look forwards to seeing you past the basecoat stages and onto the less annoying and more cool parts!!

Cheers, Mithril

They've been sat there since wake the dead came out and I got the Eldar half for dead cheap a couple of times over. With my space marine army getting to a point where I'm happy with them for the time being my motivation for this army finally picked up and I decided to finally start these guys with a bit of a different colour scheme.  The guardians have loads of mould lines :wacko.:  I carried on with soulgems everywhere and I kind of like it tbh. It breaks it up a bit, they do need some tidying but here's the result so far:
