Tau Suit Carrier

Was wondering if anyone knew of an existing Tau carrier vessel. Basically something smaller then the Manta that can transport about a dozen battlesuits or at least what they use to transport Riptides and Stormsurges since the Manta's bays (at least modeled) aren't designed to carry them.

 

Like to know before I might have to design one.

The Orca fits this niche – it carries twenty Fire Caste Warriors, half a dozen Crisis suits and supporting drones.

 

 

Of course, this predates the larger suits, so doesn't have dedicated space for them. Nevertheless, I'd expect the Tau to use a variant of this design. For a pure-suit carrier, it might be fun to make a skeletal/non-sealed version?

As for the big suits, it's been established that Riptides are deployed from Mantas (presumably they fold up to occupy about the same space as a Devilfish hull or something) and similarly that Stormsurges are "mag-lifted into battle beneath specifically modified Manta Missile Destroyers."

Makes sense. The T'au are very practical and design vehicles and suits very well. They just lack a good close combat element or I would be for the greater good!

Additional question: Would it be safe to assume the same for the stormsurge as for the suprmacy armour?
