I really like the tan cape on the Executioner - I think the same would look great on the Lord as well.

Making Progress. Oh man, this thing's taking as long as painting half a squad, lol.

 

 

 

 

Cape's done. Things to do:

 

Touchups on the cables.

Plasma Pistol and left arm pipes.

The WINGS (God damn it I don't know what colour I'm gonna paint them, lol)

I'm really conflicted on even the basic colours to paint the wings at this point XD

The cloth looks great - the lighter tan adds a nice bit of contrast.

 

If you are having trouble deciding on the wing colours, I would wait until you have painted and attached the head, as that will give you a better idea of what the model as a whole will look like.  You can then chose colours that would go well with that...

 

That said, the dark green GW uses for some of its dark eldar might look good (for example, the armour on this model: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Dark-Eldar-Lhamaean)

Yeah, green likely isn't the right colour, having seen the completed head.  Maybe hold up different paint pots behind his head to get an idea of how they might look as a wing colour.

I love the angelic looking wings on the definitely not angelic body - its nicely symbolic of both the terror and allure of chaos.  Good choice.

What do you guys think? Do the wings work? I think they look pretty good, especially with the head change. It has the Angel of the Damned vibe for me. I think we're gonna go with the black wings, lol.

Edit: Oh you all ready attached the wings. My opinion still stands though, now more than ever!
