I love scale 75 these actually look awesome haha

They are, but I still don't get the OP. They have nothing to do with Contrast, or the concept of Contrast paint, right?

No they don't, quite the opposite. These you blend, layer, glaze etc as regular paints, but these are thick as oilpaint (good for drybrushing) and can be thinned down to airbrushing consistency.

No I'm not advertising them, I'm not affiliated with Scalecolor at all. I just found out about those colours and found them interesting. I just mentioned contrast colour as a tagline as they are quite the opposite of how this paint range should be used.

I actually have a set of these after supporting the Kickstarter campaign. I have to say these are VERY nice paints with high pigment density and a very matte finish.

I haven’t tested them thoroughly, but I have thinned them down to airbrushable consistency and they still gave very good coverage with the same nice finish.

However I guess they are not for everyone. They are very nice for people who like to mix their own colours and who like on model / wet blending due to their good consistency and slightly longen drying time.

The overall set looks a lot like the acrylics W&N produce. Scale 75 are my preferred brand but I'm not sure why I would take the new line when purchasing, say W&N, is cheaper and easier from a local art shop.

I still may grab a small box just to see though.

No doubts about S75's quality (I use a alot of their regular paints), but I don't really see these as being worth adding to your paint collection unless you're working on big things like busts or 75mm models. Maybe if you do a lot of vehicles.

How do you guys thin really thick artist acrylics? I got some thick Arteza paints for acrylic flip cup pouring art and they’re suuuuper heavy. I can try some Liquitex medium but what to you stir with to get it smooth?

I use artist colors that come in a tube.

You mix them on your palette with water.
