Battle Report: GK vs Ynnari

Nice looking army you have there too, you should post a showcase thread (unless you already have and I've just missed it). I'd love to get a closer look at some of your models. That inquisitor and retinue look great.

That's a good showing. How did you counteract the Ynnari speed?

 

Honestly, I couldn't. His mobility was what won him the game. I play very cagey and try to keep my silver boys only where they are absolutely needed. The Stormhawks were essential to this matchup -- they acted as assassins against his jetbikes but also kept his fire focused away from my army.

Wow, an actual inquisitor. What'd you field her as and how'd you gun the acolytes? I'd love to run some simple acolytes with lasguns but that isn't an option...for reasons.

I ran her as Ordo Malleus (screw daemons!) and gave her an inferno pistol. The acolytes just had bolters because they're free and I ran them barebones to block some wounds from the Inquisitor. Pretty much I saw that I had ~30 extra points and I just filled it out with acolytes to protect her.
