First the IH Contemptor, now this! It's great to see this older stuff return. Going slightly off-topic, I could see myself building a much nicer AdMech Dunerider out of the Gorgon...

Apart from the D-Day aesthetic and capacity for 15 models more, can one of you Imperial Guard players tell me why one would buy this over the Crassus, for 60€ more?

I know that there's a hefty nostalgia/style factor to use the Gorgon with the Death Korps, but it seems that rules wise this would be too expensive. And I guess according to application, too: I don't see 50 IG Troops running around the battlefields of 8th edition. And if they are, they're screens, which is a function they can't fulfill if they're all crammed into either of the big transports.

It's curious to me. But I like the design very much, to make that clear.

If you like the design then you have your answer. Not everybody cares about efficiency and how it will perform in ITC.

That's fantastic news, I had been looking for one of these second hand since they discontinued it but there aren't many about. Can't say I'll be picking one up immediately at that price but it has certainly made its way back to the top of my what to get next list, time to get saving!

Good to see it back, it's a great model. Substantially bigger than the Dunerider, though isn't it? So potentially not something you could use as an analogue.

Yeah, it was just a random thought I had when I looked at it earlier. That said, some design cues could still be taken from the Gorgon if you're not a fan of the Dunerider's hovercraft-look like me. Maybe Chimeras and such are a good place to start...

Regardless, let's stop derailing the topic. I'm just happy FW's bringing back older models!

Still a nice model and good to see it back but... it's £175 now. A year ago it was £125. That's quite a jump.

It has returned!

Your opinion is important, and someone posting here probably does care what you think. You should go tell them. Remember that it really hurts to come up with an idea you care about and have no one else care. Go care about something and tell them what you think. Now. Think of what it would have meant to you when you were young.

Well would you look at the time, it's zombie o'clock!

Good to see her back, though that markup is pretty savage i guess thats the cost of keeping the mould? Does make the Crassus look a lot more appealing!

The model has more 30k application than 40k. That's where there's value.

Maybe it's just the coffee talking but this just makes me very excited that FW is bringing back some OOP models. This model is amazing for narrative games. The cost is steep but if I went Dkok instead of Elysian's (I love forgeworld flyers/Valks to much) I would 100% grab a few of these.

I am glad to see the return of this. Maybe at least for a limited run I would like to see the Elysian Valkyrie kit where it has the troopers sitting inside. It is probably not going to happen but seeing the Gorgon back has me daydreaming.

Curse you Dos, I was about to make a post about one of the things I want back msn-wink.giflaugh.png

In any case, the fact that all of these things that disappeared are coming back is good news for the future to be honest. Very exciting times we live in.

The guns on the back bug me somehow.

I guess they're stubbers or autocannons or whatever, but they don't look like 40k stubbers or autocannons. They look like they're taken from an actual WW1/2 scale model kit. I get that that's the inspiration for the model, but it's being taken much too literally.

Kreig weapons all look like ww1/2 kit over cadian standard
