Speed Daemon is mine, as finished one of the Cataphractii:

Ignore the 32mm base, the model somehow fell off the 40mm base it was attached to. So it's on there until I can get more 40mm Sector Imperialis bases

Had to leave work early because my allergies were flaring up bad enough the computer screen was making my sinus headache into a migraine, but yeah.

Hey Grot,  just a technicality I know, I vowed for and subsequently completed 2 Lt's for the March of Machines (See my last couple of posts).  Unsure what I am going to pledge for this month but some will most likely be for the Chalnath Campaign of the Guard.

All good :tu: I'll be looking at the MoM thread for completions / ranks

Aboard the Twofold Nightmare, the Corruptor reclined upon his throne, thinking upon his old foes, and battles won long ago. Memories of a Dreadnought came to the forefront of his mind, and he grimaced, remembering the searing burn of flames dancing across his skin.

12 Months - Vow 6

I, Arakos the Corruptor, hereby vow to repaint one Dreadnought in the colours of the Ultramarines Chapter by month's end for the glory of Chaos and Lord Abaddon.

April vow complete - one squad of DWK + Sammael done.  For May, I vow to complete a squad of inceptors/ravenwing black knights.

Sammael is an extra on this list, and was not painted by me. He had a lot of breaks and splurges of paint that had to be fixed, which I have done.

Gonna go for a big one this month, divided in thirds between some 40k to start with, then Heresy and Titanicus additions depending on the specialist events running rn for the last two respectively :)

I, Aeternus, vow to paint and base the remaining 5 marines of 8th claw, and paint and base 4 terminators of 2nd claw to join last month's completed!

Reporting my first April complete as well:

:smile.:

Love the shading on the red and especially the shoulderpad! Where did you get the staff from by the way?

Meanwhile on my end, I'm just going through what I am thinking of vowing for April, as my model backlog is pretty long. I'll make a post soon. :D

We had the games table out this week, so I took a few better photos of my recent vows - command squad, brood brothers squad three and the officers:

command squad

squad 3

standard bearer

commissar 1

commissar 2

commander

Plus I took a family photo of the entire brood brother contingent - three infantry squads, a command squad, three officers and my original Leman Russ (which kicked off the whole repainting project last summer in the 2019 hobby challenge thread). This was my first real 40k army, and was pretty much a full army back in RT days (with the rhinos that guardsmen could hang out in back then) - now, it's a bit less than 400 points.

With all of the Guard done, it's back to the more up-to-date members of the cult...

I, Rogue, pledge to continue the path of the hobby challenge with six neophytes, committing them to join the forces of the Xenos faction before the end of April.

Some solid looking completions all round, and only a few days in :P leaving the rest of us in the dust

@Majkhel: gonna echo Cambrius, that's one sweet shoulder pad with the blending there! also liking the choice of green for the purity seal, contrasts nicely

@Rogue: The brood brothers are looking solid all together, looking forward to seeing what you do with the new sculpts and mixing them into the force

@Gederas: Far too loyal for me, but those 1st Legion squads are coming along well, always like me some cataphractii. Have you considered maybe throwing a glaze on the claws, or are you aiming for keeping them more metallic?

@Axineton: One deadly and eyecatching ballerina ya got there :D Liking the choice of the colours you went for, the highlights on the green are neat and overall all 3 main shades clash in a very harlequinny manner!

Thanks!

As to the question about the Lightning Claws.... Does this answer your question? :P

Yes, I was going to do a glaze (actually it's Aethermatic Blue contrast), but I was waiting until all 10 were done to do it all at once.

And that's all 10 Cataphractii finished.
