Proxion Sector Warband

Hello Brothers,

 

I’ve slowly grown my chaos warband and think it necessary that I post updates, battle reports, and ask questions in my own thread.

 

Haven’t come up with a name for my warband yet, but I’ve played a campaign that took place in the Proxion sector with friends, so there’s that.

 

Thus far I have:

 

Abaddon, naturally, he’s the biggest boss.

Daemon Prince

Dark Apostle

Sorc in terms armour

MoP

 

20 marines (10x chaos box) and 10 unbuilt. Still unsure of the layout, tempted to magnetize but that’ll be a process. What would you recommend these days? My group is also cool with proxies, so I might just go rule of cool.

 

40+ cultists (cadian guard that fell to Chaos after the fall of cadia)

 

x2 Greater possessed

x1 Hellbrute (what’s a good load out here? I think they look cool but they might not be optimal. I’m thinking of making a sonic dreadnought for a potential EC detachment)

x10 termies woth Chainaxe and Combiplas. Will always run with Abby as is personal retinue with Sorc

 

x2 Oblits

x1 Venomcrawler

 

Also have an old pred, two rhinos, 8 old metal rubrics, 6 old metal DG, and 24 zerkers?

 

The idea is to run Abby +5/10 termies and sorc at all times, in a BL detachment (with whatever else) and other chaos detachments for fun with whatever tickles my fancy at the time.

 

I’ll try to get some picks of some painted things and models later.

Are your models ready for battle? Still waiting for your pictures ;) Is your list correct? You have the Legion as Emperor's Children so don't they need the Mark of Slaanesh?

 

What's your plan with the MoP, is he to stick with the DP throwing Cultists in for healing and the like for healing? Will you be Reserving Abaddon or making full use of his aura on the table top? Though it is Apoc, so maybe plans aren't such a big deal :P

Thanks for the feedback. 

 

I was too lazy to place marks, but yes, all EC should be slanesh, and most probably all BL as well. Generall if I were to run pure BL I might leave the termies unmarked and bring a few other sorcs. I'd then buff them with the blessings of all three gods! 

 

I'll likely be reserving Abby and his retinue for deepstrike and attempt to cut off the head of the snake, as they say. We shall see how it plays out :).

 

As for the MoP. Aye, I intend on running the EC blob together, run at something. Using the cultists to sacrifice to keep the Venomcrawler up as long as possible. Might be unlikely as it's an Apoc game, but I'm hoping everyone targets more threatening units, hehe.
