Struggling to build the DA Contemptor

I'm trying to build the new FW Dark Angels Contemptor and am having some problems. First, are the legs supposed to be bent with the shields on the knees? Is there a way for the legs to be straightened so it can be standing straight? Second, what is the best way to glue the legs together in the pose you want while not messing up the pose when gluing everything together piece by piece?

Hello friend, welcome to your first contemptor! The cool thing about these models is you can pose them however the heck you want, bent knees, running, kicking a csm in the face... Whatever!

 

Don't do what I did and accidentally put the leg guards on backwards, there's a little triangle notch where the knee shields are supposed to go. They're supposed to be independent of where the knee is.

Thanks for the advice, I got the legs together in a pose I like and think it worked out well! I'll try to remember to post some pictures when I get some more interesting progress!
