Was wondering the same but the old model already looked like that as well (though the slit went a little bit further down). As so often the model lacks behind any proper artwork. Just don't put such a strong highlight and shadow to that part of her face and it'll look much less like an actual nose. ;)

Also for the people who were concerned about how she could fit into the suit since the legs are pretty far apart ... GW has anticipated that concern. It appears her new suit is a lot bigger than a regular Stealth Suit and is halfway to a Crisis Suit already.

That can't be comfortable. But glad its within reason

Put a horse in the middle and it wouldn't be too odd for a human? But yes it looks a bit strange, but at least it's anatomically possible.

they waste a LOT of posing potential by having the second pair of arms be exactly parallel to the regular arms

It makes more sense for them to be parallel as it implies that just putting extra limbs on her experimental battle suit doesn't give her extra limb control skills. Having them be so obviously parallel tells a story that implies that's the easiest way to use them. Having more ways to use your extra mechanical limbs would be an advantage over not having them but you also don't want to do difficult things that require a lot of concentration when people are trying to kill you before you can kill them so often simplest is best.

Yeah but if they move exactly like the original pair of arms and those arms don't do anything else than directing the extra pair ... then it makes no sense to have an extra pair in the first place.

The sprue has 2 of each type of fusion weapon (the backs are the different part, and there’s 2 of each back).

From the images I have seen the main fusion blaster part is in 2 bits, so that 2 weapon arms and 2 of each part which make them high-energy or dispersed also the backpack is part of the torso so there is only 1.

Pics like this make me appreciate new GW design more and more. A similar logic was applied to the new Abaddon model and that's a huge part of why it looks so amazing to me. More models that have this type of thought put into their scale please!

pretty sure they function like a Masamune Shirow Landmate suit...

Yeah they are the same size as the regular arms, so it's not like they'd be more powerful to lift something bigger or such.

"outer" weapon arms are fully mechanical

"inner" arms are the armor-enclosed biological limbs

Her standard arms have her actual arms in them. Her secondary arms are all servo motors and stuff, no space taken up by biological T'au bits. So they would be more powerful.

Yeah but it's not like she's lifting something particularly heavy. She could lift the Fusion Blasters just fine before and even regular Stealth Suits can lift a Fusion Blaster. ^^

They aren’t the same weapons now though. They’re physically a lot bigger on the model.

Excited to see what GSC get. Maybe they get a Start Collecting finally? Maybe? Please? I want them to take my money, the GSC model line is so good.

I love they brought engineers onboard to answer questions about how the suits fit the bodies. Small detail but really nice they think about it.
  • Noserenda and Triszin like this

Your opinion is important, and someone posting here probably does care what you think. You should go tell them. Remember that it really hurts to come up with an idea you care about and have no one else care. Go care about something and tell them what you think. Now. Think of what it would have meant to you when you were young.

Eh, really not convincing. Stealth Suits are much smaller so the difference is about the same and the Fusion Blasters on her old model were huge as well.

I'll stick with it either makes no sense or is wasted posing potential. YMMW.
