04: Order of Battle, Order of our Martyred Lady
The following list represents the assets of the Commandery of Saint Katherine's Aegis prior to its reunion with the greater Imperium. While the Commandery can fight as a unified Battalion, its forces are stationed to defend multiple territories; by default, they are organized into 3 distinct patrols, one to defend each of the churches deemed Holy enough to act as Battle Sanctums.
Fortification Network: The Sacred Sites of Orison's Wake- 9 PL
01. The Chapel of Saint Katherine's Aegis: Location- Aegis City, 3 PL
02. The Mission of the Grain Maiden's Veil: Location- TBA, 3 PL
03. The Mission of the Weeping Widow: Location- TBA, 3 PL
Because these three churches are at separate locations, they can only be used in battles fought at those locations, meaning only a single sanctum can be used in any given battle. At each of these sites, the presence of a Battle Sanctum means that only battles of 51 + PL may be fought here, because a Battle Sanctum can only be fielded as part of a fortification network, and games of < 51 PL are restricted to a single detachment. Because each territory is represented by a persistent Onslaught sized board, it is possible to "slice" the board in such a way that the segment of battlefield you're using does not include the Sanctum.
If an attack on a church is severe enough that the Patrol is mismatched in PL with the attacker, units from other locations may be borrowed for the battle to even the match, but all such reinforcements must be set aside as strategic reserves. These reserves may arrive as early as turn 2 provided there is an airfield territory under Imperial control in both the settlement where the church is being attacked and the settlement from which reinforcements are being requested. If both settlements have a rail yard territory under Imperial control, reinforcements can arrive as early as turn 3. Note that it is possible to pull reserves from two settlements. Note also that in some circumstances, reinforcements from one settlement may be capable of arriving on turn 2, while reinforcements from the other may be required to wait until turn 3. And finally, when reinforcements are pulled, it is not necessary to bring the entire detachment stationed at any given settlement, only the specific combination of units required by the defending player.
When attacking, the Crusade can use campaign turns to travel between territories prior to the commencement of the battle, which means that the entire force would be available on the first turn, In order to do this, however, there still must be either an airfield or a railyard connection under Imperial control between each of the forces involved in the attack. Here are the forces, listed with the locations where they begin the campaign:
Patrol: The Mission of St Katherine's Aegis, Patrol Detachment, 22 PL:
Cannoness Shayla Rayne, 3 PL
Celestians x 5, 4 PL
Battle Sisters x 10, 7 PL
Dominions x 5, 5 PL
Patrol: The Mission of the Grain Maiden's Veil, 10 PL:
Cannoness Veera Strife, 3 PL
Preacher Gideon Krayle, 2 PL
Crusaders x 2, 1 PL
Battle Sisters x 5, 4 PL
Patrol: The Mission of the Weeping Widow, 10 PL:
Misionary Lethos Mayhem, 3 PL
Death Cult Assassins X 5, 3 PL
Battle Sisters X 5, 4 PL
And there you have it, 51 PL in total. Next post will include background and load outs for the Mission of Saint Katherine's Aegis!
