Trying to decide on hobby project

So, I have 30 Mark III marines that I haven't hard-assigned to a project yet.

I have both CSM and regular Marines. My regular marines are a UM successor; I have a full battle company, full range of sarge options and assault/heavy weapons for any Battle Company configuration. I am also adding Primaris marines.

I had intended on combining them with my 30 AoBR marines as a 3rd Battle Company. I have 2 extra assault squads available, and enough Devastators to make up 2 more squads. But now I'm considering adding them to my CSMs, since I'm otherwise adding Primaris marines.

For my CSMs, I have IW, BL, DG, NL, and EC- the DG army is missing only some armor support to complete (although I'm eyeing that series 3 SM Heroes sorc); my IW is the largest and I'm really tempted to toss them in to the pot. I want to add more Havocs anyway, and I'm currently short of a brigade- no FA in my IW (that's all NL).

My IW are toting:

35 terminators

3 10 man CSM squads

1 20 man CSM squad

Dark Apostle

2 Chaos Lords (One in termie armor)

Sorcerer

Exalted Champion

10 Chosen

5 squads of Havocs, one squad of each type

5 Helbrutes

1 Contemptor

Fire Raptor

3*Rapier Laser Destroyers

2 LRs

1 Spartan

But I love the aesthetic of Mk III

Thoughts?

Seems like you play 40k.

Decide on a legion, get an airbrush and use your 30x MkIII to throw yourself  into 30k instead. Start out with painting 2x 10 man tactical squads and use the rest to build a heavy support squad.

How about trying out the cooler and better looking forgeworld scheme for iron hands that has some heat bloom discolouration on the armour (base coat with silvers and airbrush Tamiya clear green and purple to do the subtle heat bloom effect on their armour and finish off with a Tamiya smoke glaze).

Get the really cool Forgeworld IH tactical squad in resin and use those bits to spice up your sergeants and and some of the guys to give the squad a personal touch of conversions.
