Hello everyone
Do you know if there are still any warbands with the old colour scheme of slate gray instead of the blood red?

What do you think it would be the legions oppinion on this matter?

Cheers

Descendant of the Ashen Circle ?

I looked down the sights of my rifle, my target looked back. It's eyes were all the eyes I'd ever loved. They promised everything I could ever want. Love, comfort, safety. An end to this nightmare. I felt my will draining out of me, entranced by those eyes.

Yes, there definitely are. See Apocalypse by Josh Reynolds where there is a powerful WB Lord, a former member of the Ashen Circle, who still wears his grey Mark III armour. Some of his followers do as well. Legion regulations decree that armour must be painted one of a set number of shades of crimson but having it unpainted is apparently some kind of loophole/acceptable as well.

I'm not well versed enough in the books or fluff to know of any specific warbands that might, but with the way the warp works it wouldn't be far-fetched to develop background for a chapter that got caught up in the warp and is now re-emerging into real-space, if you wanted to make your own fluff..

I was going to do some grey MK3 marines as a counts as rubrics at one point, but I never got around to it and now WB can't take rubrics at all. The idea was that they would be the ashes of monarchia bound into suits of armour and animated by the will of a sorcerer.

I didn't think so if they want to keep their legion trait stuff. Naff as it may be. I may have got the wrong end of the stick but I thought they couldn't take cult units.

The cult units are an Elite choice for CSM and will not break your Legion Traits. In the CSM codex they have the <LEGION> keyword so they can be taken in any Undivided Chaos Legion. Build up your grey Rubrics.
