Looks real nice!
As strange as this sounds, given how nice the models are, my favourite parts are the bases. Its a nice browny colour. Is that weird of me to say? Lol

Wow ...Awesome additions here I love scourges so my approval rating is at 11 !
side note, my mate and i saw the last of a game at our *FLGS yesterday and it was Deldar Vs DeathGuard and the Deldar won a good victory we saw he used urien, drazhar covens and Cabals (both players were competent veterans so it was a good sign for the new book)
*additional info - we're in Australia and covid is under control so game shops are running as normal
great looking force TC , cannot wait to see more!
Mithril
Thanks Mith, Dark Eldar are really looking great this edition. Hopefully I can play them against my mates and not feel too waffle-stompy
Somewhat of an understatement... You're making everyone look bad
Keep it up
I just cut a few corners here and there, a couple of weeks off work definitely helps
Maaan I wish I could blast out that many models. I'm lucky if I do a single model a week!
Looks real nice!

Thank you Captain, IMO bases are 50% of the paint job, proper basing can make or break a colour scheme
Love these guys! It’s great how you managed to get the color scheme from the codex cover down, even though it seems unintentional(?), I still love it. Is the base simply Sons of Horus green? I didn’t even know that was a color in the range lol.
Really good stuff mate, following your work for sure!
Thank you Crix! It definitely wasn't intentional, I went with an easy to replicate scheme as I'm relatively lazy when it comes to painting: quick job for good results! It's just Sons of Horus green in the armour, Nuln Oil in the reccesses and Dawnstone highlight. For the Incubi and Characters, I edge highlight the corners with Administratum Grey, then dot with Ulthraan Grey
End of last week I finished off another 5 Incubi bringing me up to 10 total, they are wonderful kits (as are the new Banshees too) and I honestly can't wait for Craftworlds to be updated like them. Of course this isn't a thread about the goody two shoes eldar
On the other scale of things are the Court of the Archon models, I love the old sculpts but Finecast is absimal which was the same for the Mandrakes. The Sslyth has a massive seam down the centre, there were a million and one tags on the chains of the Medusea, etc etc. I did really enjoy painting them though, I even experimented with Contrast a bit on the Ur-Guul too. A mix of Daemonette Hid and Black Templar contrast, BT in the reccesses, thinned daemonette hide on the rasied areas. (PVA was still wet when I took the pictures)
The Lhameane is ridiculously small even by Eldar standards
I figure my Archon like Mercenaries quite a bit
Current WIP project logs:
The Rusted Harvest (AKA my bright orange DG)
Craftworld Iybraesil
Vanguard of the Ordained Maw GSC
I also completed a 3rd Raider last week too, my Dark Flotilla has grown quite a bit with the majority of the army being able to fly
Current WIP project logs:
The Rusted Harvest (AKA my bright orange DG)
Craftworld Iybraesil
Vanguard of the Ordained Maw GSC
Now that's a super impressive picture there...
Look at all that hard work! and how it's paid off i don't know how you can work with those failcast models
i'm hoping for plastics ...one day!! (fingers crossed)
the Lhamaean model is nice but resin so i converted one of those GSC ladies into one instead (better sized)
Lots of awesomeness here though Congrats!

MajorNese- In the grim darkness of the near future, there is only complaints.
Loving this army- fantastic work. I too love the group shots.

Looks really cool man! Dude, it looks like you have real flow and mojo man!
I hope its gonna be like that for me too! I ordered today 5 raiders (already have one) and 6 crypt fiends that Im gonna convert to grots!
Ive also ordered my very first airbrush kit. Ive been in warhammer 40K since dark eldar came out in 2010.
But this will be my first time Im painting with airbrush, and yeah its gonna be dope.
Im impressed by your army, it looks like you had fun painting them And the result wasnt that bad either.

Scroll hell quote removed
Thank you dudes, I really enjoy painting this army, it's nice and simple to do with very few colours and techniques. Just a lot of highlighting!
I've just finished off a Ravager, which will likely be the last unit I complete for this force for a little while. The Omnissiah calls for me
As per the usual with my vehilces, I try to make each scheme slightly different with different panels
I've still got plenty left in my Pile of Potential but I'm going to take a break from this force for a bit, my hobby butterfly is taking off again!
Current WIP project logs:
The Rusted Harvest (AKA my bright orange DG)
Craftworld Iybraesil
Vanguard of the Ordained Maw GSC
Some more great work, the variance on scheme is a good idea and one I will steal liberate You've done a lot of great work so have more than earned some spice for variety. Don't forget an army shot at some point if you have the time and space
[snip]
A worthy exit indeed Definately cool, refreshing when people use their own paint schemes instead of the standard black with green tints.
@mods Im sorry about the scroll hell. I dont really know how to remove it, or how to not quote that way but I hope it wont happen again.

More scrolling
Outside of the quote elements it's normal BBCode content so you can remove it and keep the quote itself - it's a courtesy for handheld device users to prevent them from scrolling too much especially on images That said I usually omit quoting when we're in WIP topics, or anything where it's obvious what you're talking about. Or at least I hope TC knows we're talking to him
As good as it is, we don't need to see TC's work twice
I'm hoping you don't drift apart from your DE for too long, perhaps they can be a nice break when you need one from your AdMech?
Thank you all for the compliments, I really enjoy painting this force and will hopefully enjoy playing it too (not too long until the UK allows households to mix!)
I still have plenty in my Pile of Potential (Shame), with plenty of units that I haven't painted currently and additions to units I do have. I'll be back to the old ways soon I imagine, especially after I've gotten some games under my belt and want to expand my options!

What I usually go for is 1: keep it simple. and 2: stick to one paint scheme for the entire army.
and this concept always works its not always about having as much different paints as possible on the model;
that kills your attention because it gets annoying to look at. and if you have like 20 different warhammer paints per model,
it just takes so much unneccessary energy to get going and actually paint it. and yeah.
this concept of sticking to just a couple of paints works so well for me, it has made me get into painting more and more.
and it seems a bit like you have done something similar yourself, its simple but perfect.
I roll with the prophets of flesh. you probably knew i play coven, but thats the subfaction i play.
so i paint my raiders black and with grey tints, its so much fun. said this, because i think this concept applies pretty well to your way of doing models aswell.
