Aztek Posted January 19, 2020 Share Posted January 19, 2020 So the Terminator squad is a proxy for the new Cenobite Terminators, and the 10 man Destroyer Squad is a proxy for a squad of 10 Interemptors. Also I've left room points wise for whatever special character they release with Thramas, which I'm hoping is Corswain. Comes to 2282 at the moment. 9 Terminators are in the Kharibdyss with the Praetor, Interemptors are in the Dread Claw, and the Vets are in a Rhino with the special character. Any thoughts on the list? I'd like to get a list nailed somewhat down so I can start collecting and painting. Talking with other people that seems to definitely be the case so I've revised the list a bit. Main difference is the one vet squad has been beefed up to 10 and another vet squad has been added with 8 members but only a Nuncio Vox and Rhino. Also this list has been revised with the idea of Corswain(or whoever) instead of Praetor or vice versa. Comes out to 2478 points, which I think is enough cushion for the Cenobite and Interemptors cost over their proxies....hopefully. Thanks again for reading! The 10 man squad should include a few power weapons (swords would be great as Dark Angels) - capitalise on those extra attacks Vets get. Your smaller squad should definitely be taking some ranged weapons such as two melta guns. I'd also throw a combi melta on the sarge to give them some serious anti-vehicle potential. What's your destroyer squad planning on doing? Are they taking jump packs? If not i'm guessing they are in the anvillus. At this point I'm struggling to see their purpose (besides looking sweet). I've generally seen them played as a 'harass' style unit using phosphex and charging with rad grenades to bog down enemy scoring units. Your terminator squad will bring some serious issues for your opponent. You definitely need atleast two chainfists in there to boost the squads versatility. I'm not sure on the latest rules but you should be taking them with calibanite blades instead of power swords (they are free last time I checked). At this stage one 120 point dreadnought would slay them - add two power fists and they'll be hard to crack. I'm a bit concerned about your ranged anti-tank capability. I'm a big las cannon fan with my Dark Angel, often bringing mortis dreadnoughts and predators - your vindicator is good but very easily removed in most 30k metas. The jet bike saturation is cool, not a route I usually take, I'd be interested to see how it performs. Keep in mind that acid ammo rarely gives me the AP 1,2 or 3 that I hope for. I try to use them as anti scoring dakka rather than terminator removal. Overall looks fun and will be quite strong with a few small tweaks. Terminators and Destroyers are proxies for Cenobites Terminators (Terranic Greatsword Terminators), and Interemptors(the Plasma Destroyers). The Interemptor's are indeed coming down in the Anvilus. I will see and what I can do about adding some power weapons and/or a combi-melta or two to the Vets! Thanks very much for looking over my list! I appreciate it!
