Redeployment: warlord traits and stratagems

There are plenty of abilities that lets you redeploy units, after deployment but before the start of the first battle round.

Examples are warlord traits (marines vanguard WLT, Alpha legion WLT), stratagems for the EC and UM.

And the FAQ treats the UM rapid redeployment stratagem different than the EC tactical perfection.

The UM are not allowed to pick up a unit and place it in reserves, but the EC are allowed to pick up a unit, with for instance jump pack, and place that unit in reserves.

How would this interact with units that have abilities that allow them to deploy outside their deployment?

Example: Player A deploys his entire army, including placing some PHOBOS units outside the deployment-zone. Player B then deploys his army.

Player A starts and will take the first turn.

Before the battleround starts he wants to redeploy some units from the vanguard WLT trait or other abiliy. Can the phobos units be redeployed to a new postion outside player A´s deplyment zone (as per described in the datasheets of the units) or would the redeplyed units have to be placed in player A´s deplymentzone as per described in the mission?

How would the dulicious tactician 1KS WLT interact with the risen rubricae stratagem? Can the rubric unit be redeplyed to a new postiton outside the players own deploymentzone before battleround 1 starts.

I would say the the EC one will be changed when GW get round to it.

As far as I know all the other ones prevent you changing from on the table to reserves...

IF it doesnt state any limitations then I would go with any place that would have been a valid deployment before.  So yes your phobos unit could deploy anywhere on the table that is more than 9" away from the enemy.

I am not entirely convinced they will FAQ the EC strat.

Tactical perfection is worded differently than rapid redeployment. The EC strat allows redeployment as per the units datasheet or mission, while the UM does not mention datasheet-abilities related to deployment, such as reserves.

My group was chatting about the TS interaction the other day.  Since the new deploy says it is to be set up per the normal rules for the mission and unit, you would be restricted to your deployment zone.  The stratagem can only be used during deployment, but the warlord trait happens after deployment, so you would not be able to use it then and the stratagem is not normal deployment for the unit/mission.
