Lore for Warhound scout titan deployment

1)Are they ever used solo/in small packs in lore to support non-Admech forces/as their own Titan deployment? How are they used in such deployments?

similarly, did we ever get detailed information on how Chaos warhounds "usually" work- ie: did they keep support forces, what keeps them in line?

I have only read one book with regards to Warhounds, they can be sent out in small packs as long as one of them is senior as the pack mentality does leak from the Machine spirit into their pilots.  There must be a strong leader in the group to control them so they do not need a Warlord or Reaver to send them orders.

Titans are deployed when they are needed, they will always have a support staff but they can be deployed without other Mechanicus, to support lets say Guard if the battlefield is vast and Titans are low in number. A good example is in Hellsreach where there were too many Hives to protect against the number of Titans available so they were spread out. It was an Emperor Titan but I can definitely see a pack of hounds deployed behind the Orks to break supply lines.

With regards to Chaos titans I am not sure of how much the Dark Mechanicum interact with them as their is very little lore on the Dark Mechanicum after they retreated to the Eye. A lot of Chaos titans are definitely under maintained but damage is repaired with living tissue from corruption and chaos taint.

In both the heresy era mechanicum and 40k era priest of mars books, from what i remember the warhounds work as a pack of 2-3 in a scouting role. (this is the same with both loyalist/traitor forces in mechanicum). From what I can remember there tends to be an older 'alpha' within the pack who controls the warhounds but answers to the princeps in the larger titans.

In mechanicum they are deployed as part of a full battle group, but im fairly certain in priests of mars 2 are deployed fairly far in advance by themselves (but again, as part of a group overall)

However there are other titan legions that are different. Legio Audax (Ember Wolves) were the titan legion attached to the world eaters, and used only warhounds, but in large numbers. Check out Betrayer as they feature quite heavily in that if I recall. I cant remember if it goes much into how they are organised from a chaos perspective (as theyve only just turned traitor).
