I like that they get a special rule depending on what Order/Wing they're from. Obviously an instant pre-order for me :-D they're gorgeous minis, just not a fan of the sort of slightly-enhanced 'Eavy Metal/flat style that FW minis are painted in these days, so great to see the bare minis

Angelus on the way, then? I wonder if they will release the book at Warhammer Fest.

They look like they belong in the 41st millennium, not the 31st.

Such beautiful things are not meant for this world....

That's two in my cart, the first of many packs I'm sure.

Gawd they look awesome.
Funny though that they get a special rule for overwatch which they cannot use. ;)

Well, they can all get thunder hammer for free. Guess the DA players can stop it with their complaints of "useless melee unit" now.

These are great, I am so envious of the DA's. Between these, Praetor's, Contemptor, and the exquisite made leviathan I feel DA are coming out with some big wins.

Some of the nicest termies you can get IMO. I don't play 30k but I'd take these in a heartbeat in my 40k list as Knights.

Oh my god. Amazing.

Your opinion is important, and someone posting here probably does care what you think. You should go tell them. Remember that it really hurts to come up with an idea you care about and have no one else care. Go care about something and tell them what you think. Now. Think of what it would have meant to you when you were young.

Not only gorgeous but they also seem to be a bigger scale like the Varagyr so they won't look silly in armies with upscaled models or in 40k with primaris.

Fine rules, wow. Great suprise and such a pleasent one! Free thunderhammers are even more than I was hoping for and those plasma casters are pure sex. Orders are like BT vows and Bretonnia Virtues combined - I LOVE IT, though I feel like Reapers of Hosts are the one that will see the most use.
My hopes for Crusade are high again.

Well, they can all get thunder hammer for free. Guess the DA players can stop it with their complaints of "useless melee unit" now.

And I guess you shouldn't be telling DA players what they can or can't do. Every previewed unit without rules is subject to speculations based on it's equipment or description, so what's the problem?

With a bit of clmvwrting these would make for excellent Desthwing knights. Might just replace the sword with the mace and call it that as the buckler and armour could technically count as a 3+ invul right?

Still think they could do with being less encrusted with detail, some of which (back banners, tiliting shields) could be easily removed by the modeller, others (the stuff on the knees/shins, the oversized legion icon knife-bucklers attached to the plasma guns) less so. A few changes would bring them a lot closer to the broad 30k aesthetic and the slightly more restrained look of the incredible DA praetor.

Technically excellent though, the incised gothic stuff on the gorgets and pauldrons is very well done. The 360 also highlights something that wasn't as apparent: these poses are good. A unit of terminators with zweihanders is a cool concept and as a unit these guys work without seeming too extravagent. There's intention behind what they're doing but they still look appropriately weighty for dudes clad in tactical dreadnought plate.

Rules look cool too, if the thought process that went into picking their relevant order is carried through to the rest of the DA rules, that'll be a fine thing.

They still suffer (some more than others) from arms out of their ears syndrome. Admittedly virtually all terminators do, I was just made sensitive to the issue after seeing ones that don't.

They're still some of the best termies out there, and a treasure trove of bits even for non DA players

It feels strange to describe any Terminator unit as a glass cannon, but these fellas are paying a premium for some very tasty output while being no more survivable than the standard Legion variety. I like the rules a lot (though they do exist in the shadow of the two Arquitor Bombards you can get for the same cost!).

Beautiful models. First models I'm gunna buy from FW in a while.

The Preceptor is basically a Legion Centurion.

They need to fix that overwatch rule, since cataphractii can't overwatch.

I saw that and started laughing - it’s like FW rules writers don’t even know how the game is played let alone which edition they are in.

Besides the usual pedantry, they are great models and have good rules.

The naming of the Orders and their abilities are very interesting as they don’t seem to exactly line up with the Wings. An anti-psyker order? Maybe Firewing given we now know it’s for destroying enemy Command and Control. But then that also covers the Slayer of Kings order.

Is it possible we’re seeing yet another ‘organisation within an organisation’ with the Orders reflecting specific skills from the original Calibanite Order, with the wings reflecting the heritage of the Terrans?

Those Order Exemplar rules seem to be generic, and not specifically for the Knights. There's no reason to include the phrasing about units that contain this model, etc if its specifically for Cenobites.

Yeah, the Orders are separate from the Wings, it is organisation within organisation as you say.  The wings kind of cover overall battle role, and the orders are more martial specialisations i think.

I think the icons on the new DA transfer sheet, like the crossed keys and the hooded skull, directly underneath the 1 icons are the order icons.
