I think Ghaz will be more like Redemptor price than Guilliman.

 
£40 vs £37.50 is not a big difference. The bottom line is that 60:40 is a reasonable price split for the box based on the RRP of the units inside. And if you can't find a buddy to agree then eBay will likely be full of box splitters.

 

 

 

1 minute difference but same opinion. 60:40 seems like a good split, i'm getting the box i know one person who may split the space wolves stuff if he doesn't i'll ebay the whole lot.

 

Its a shame really as i know he would like Ragnar but I will need to sell the whole half to get the money back on the otherside of the box, not sure how popular the infiltrator/incursor boxset is going to be.

That translates into approx. 135 EUR or 180 USD going by GW's current rates.

Lord Disco is also £40 so that was my reasoning as there seems to be a pricing model to how everything is priced based on troops, elites or HQ etc. I have no info bar my own speculation. 

 

Armigers and Yvraine is £45 so would see it to be about there when its released whenever that is

It should be 110-125$ tops. Calth box costed 1/4 less, had twice the amount of minis, all new ones at that, plus a whole free nice boardgame. It's sad people already forgot SC and battle boxes really used to be a bargain, not a paltry few % off and that's only thanks to a few less desirable units thrown in. Similarly "bargain" Phoenix box still warms the shelves...

Also if you tot up blood of the phoenix then it's 32% off RRP so it may be warming the shelves but compared with buying separately it is reasonable.

This is of course all before any store discounts as well.

Does it have as much in as calth? Clearly not. However calth was also released a few years back and prices have risen since then. Calth was also an entry point to heresy. Comparing it to dark imperium is appropriate, this isn't a core set so not priced as such.

I remember when Battleforces were £40 and my first set of 40k was £34.99. Inflation counts for a lot.

As such, my previous point stands. If you're paying full retail for the models in the box not including characters it'd set you back £90.50

Buying this you're either seeing it as cheap characters or cheap units. Based on the above, £15 for ghazghkull, Makari and Ragnar IS a bargain. Just depends whether you need nobs and incursors.

Calth also was £95 so NOT a quarter less at all, it's about 10% less than this box...

What's most disappointing about this box is that it could have been used to launch a series of Phobos upgrades as well. The Phobos guys just don't work straight out of the box as wolves, but if they had an upgrade sprue, that would at least be a step in the right direction. This one's a miss for me, unfortunately

not sure how popular the infiltrator/incursor boxset is going to be.

People who have tried them seem to find both Incursors and Infiltrators very effective. I think they are soemthing of a sleeper hit from the Phobos release.

I don't I've got 5.5k of orks before this box and I've zero meganobz at the moment. I also wanted another 5 regular nobz for an evil sunz warboss' retinue.

Won't argue with this for SW players.

Unfortunately, as someone building a marine force that can't use Infiltrators or Incursors, and with my only interest being using that Ragnar sculpt as a conversion base, I'm sad that I'll have to pass on this. It's just maddening because it would be an instant buy if GW didn't constantly forget about Deathwatch being a marine army.

Will have to snag Ragnar from the scalpers.
