Cris R Posted March 3, 2020 Share Posted March 3, 2020 (edited) Hi everyone, I need feedback on a a 1,500 point Blood Angels list for an interesting NOVA Open event. The event allows teams of two players to each bring a 1,500 points list to play against another team that does the same. What's interesting is that the event doesn't prohibit the teams from pairing legions that aren't Sworn Brothers or fall on the Loyalist or Traitor divide. Right now my teammate and I are running an Iron Warriors and Blood Angels combo that allows him to hold the rear with a shooty list while mine hits hard as an assault force. Given that I'm still buying my FW stuff, he's going to let me build my list first and then put together his own. Here are the basics: I'm running a delegatus using the BA Tartaros model with Pride as the RoW. This allows me to put two Tartaros Terminators in the troops slot and opens up my elite slots for the Angel's Tears and a Contemptor. Finally, got an Assault Squad in the troops slot to bring more pain in the assault phase. That said, I'm mulling over swapping out the Angel's Tears with the Dawnbreakers. I need some strong shooting in my list, so that's why I haven't made that trade yet. I'm also thinking about reducing the size of the Angel's Tears unit and adding a Contemptor Cortus or Incaendius Class so I'm not only relying on infantry. Lautrec the Embraced Posted March 5, 2020 Share Posted March 5, 2020 Hello, I'd advise the following: - Assault Marines should really have a power sword/axe or two. Plasma Pistols are too expensive and generally not worth it. With melee weapons Assault marines are deadlier and also cheaper. Also the bigger this squad is the better, so if you find some more points I'd invest them into more bodies here. - Contemptor seems kinda ...undecided to me. Chainfist+Fist looks good but the its guns have very different preferable targets. Also flamer and havoc don't really benefit from pricy upgrade from cortus to 'regular' contemptor. I suggest either making your Dread dedicated vehicle hunter (2x meltaguns or Cortus with 2xgrav guns) or just turn it into a cheap Cortus with bolters or flamer(s) and run it down the field. You have access to pretty flexible assault cannons which can do many jobs, so it's also an option. Yeah but overall the rest looks rather good to me. Terminators' loadout is good. I'm not sure about Volkites - i'd rather have two more assault marines but you can think otherwise. Angel Tears squad looks too expensive to me but i don't know them too well, so maybe they are worth it. Anti Tank is lacking of course but that's the job for your teammate. And Dawnbreakers are imo excellent choice - if you managed to save some points I'd swap assault squad to those beasts. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Apothecarion detachment will be attached the Dawnbreakers and Assault Squad, making them more resilient.
