Announced at GAMA.

“You’ve harnessed the muscle of House Goliath with the House of Chains. Now, in the House of Blades, the cunning of House Escher is yours to master!

House of Blades is a new gang book for Necromunda that offers unparalleled resources for Escher gamers and lore-lovers alike. As well as detailing the history of this gang in a level never seen before, it looks to the future with new rules, house allegiances, gangers and even their pets! Take the Death-maidens – Eschers returned to life through vile science in order to lend their deadly services to their gangs once more – and the Wyld Runners, bold explorers who hunt the Underhive.

Or these little critters – aren’t they sweet? Known as phelynx, these cat-like monstrosities are cracking for bringing down rival gangers.

We’ll have more information for you soon in the Underhive Informant, a new series of Necromunda previews that’s kicking off later today!”

I’m a big fan of the Wyld Runners, and the Death-maidens are pretty sweet. I initially hated the phelynx, but the more I see them the more they’re growing on me in a goofily charming kinda way.

They really need to stop trying to make leaping animals because they look dreadful (they screwed up the Phyrr Cats with the same pose), the blue one looks ok but really, it's a hard pass on the Rat Lizards for me.

The Death Maidens will need some serious work , at the moment they look too LotR (Far Harad) for my tastes. Their boots look too spikey and the 70's platforms have to go but they're salvageable.

The Wyld Runners will fit in with my Voodoo Dolls gang and their sump swamp background wonderfully but overall I'm a little disappointed with all of the models.

Hopefully they'll grow on me and I suspect it's because Escher are my main gang and I was always going to be a little disappointed with them.

But really those Rat Lizards are crap!

Love the prospects, but the other two I'm on the fence about. Having said that I initially didn't think much of the stimmers but loved the Goliath prospects from the get go. Curious to see what they do with House Orlock, they're my three fave houses: Goliath, Escher and Orlock. About the only thing I'd like more would be a squad of PDF deserters. Thought about doing the later using IG models and Venator rules. I seriously want to pull the pin and start up Munda, just got to see which of the three houses have the best rules/models when House of Iron comes out. Leaning towards Goliath or Orlock though.

Given I recently picked up House of Chains and enjoyed it far more than I thought I would, I'm looking forward to House of Blades.

While I'm not an (Neo) Escher guy, I do like the look of both the Death-Maidens and the Wyld Runners. Unfortunately, I think they screwed the pooch on the Phelynx - those are some rubbish looking minis.

Scrutinator-Primus Servalen is pretty cool, as is her Robo-Doggo. I can see a converted version with a shotgun making an appearance on my shelf at some point.

I wonder if the Wyld Runners will have cross-compatibility bitz-wise with the existing Escher Gang kit. Even if it's just the heads I'm happy, though arms would be great, too.

One would assume there is a degree of compatibility given they seem to consist of two sets of legs, two sets of torsos and various arms/heads.

The question will be where the joins are - it'll may well be a case of one leg and rear torso, other leg, front torso etc similar to other 'munda sets.
