The short answer is: you don't 2mb is too big, you probably need to scale the image down a bit I find about 800x600px is plenty for most pictures. It's also good to optimise an image before uploading, reducing the file size but not the quality - here is a good link for that: https://tinypng.com It's a quality of life thing for all, but especially so for those on handheld devices and/or on mobile bandwidths.
